One of the best places to get curry in the area - Edit
As with the Easton branch, the montpellier thali is great with at 4 vegan curries on the menu at a reasonable price.

My favourite local restaurant - Edit
The Montpelier Thali restaurant is my favourite. Like all the others it has weird and wonderful artwork but this space is a little smaller so feels nice and cosy too.
Read moreIf you're a traditionalist you can opt for a Thali which now includes a Pumpkin Olan or the Spinach Tarka Daal, which are all served with rice, thoran and Keralan salads. However if you look at the sharing bowls and sides there's even more choice; Bengali Aubergine curry, Gunpodwer potatoes, Uttapam, Parantha to name a few. And for pudding they now even offer their chocolate torte as a vegan option. Over 50% of the menu is now vegan!!
Pros: Lovely locals atmosphere, Gently spiced, nothing too hot., Fresh, sustainable and unique

Vegan Thali - Edit
The vegan Thali is called dairy free, vegetarian Thali and comes in a "okay" size for 9,50. Delicious but I would recommend to order it wirh a bread (what most people do anyway).

good stuff - Edit
This is one of the most authentic Indian restaurants in Bristol, A thali is a large metal "plate" with several recesses with dishes served served in each of them, so you get several things to indulge in on one plate. They will serve you extra if you are not full, as they would in India. The chapattis (An indian flatbread) aren't included as they were with every Thali I had in india though.

nice takeaway deal - Edit
Yummm - not the hottest but great flavours. Never eaten in..but the "Tiffin" takeaway lets you buy a 4-pot stainless steel container for £20 including the first meal. Then you can bring it back for a refill at £6 a go - enough for two people sharing. YUM
