The water here is the nectar of the gods and most of the food is heaven in your mouth. (A little heavy on the peppercorns in the vegan fish cakes.) Over 100 dishes to choose from—literally. Plus free dessert. This place has so much to choose from and so much good energy. Be prepared to pay on the high side. For example, a salad I ordered was small—for $14 . The cheapest dishes are the Banh mi for a bit over $9. The noodle dishes are $18 .

In this case my eyes were bigger than my stomach, we got way too much food because everything just sounded so good! My non veg boyfriend has not stopped talking about this place since we went. My favorite were the bao, I don’t exactly remember what they were called on the menu, but they are a must try, I’ll attach a pic, get them if you can!

We’ve been vegan for 7 years and my daughter was recently diagnosed with celiac. This restaurant meets all of our needs—besides vegan and GF we love Asian food, everything was delicious and unusual (like sticky rice dumplings, never tried those before). We will definitely be back.

Read moreWe tried the Veggie Fried Rolls, "Chicken" Curry, and Dan Dan Noodle. It was so hard to pick a favorite. The rolls are full of flavor and fried to perfection but the curry y’all. Holy WOW. This is my new absolute FAVORITE dish! The French bread (made fresh in house like most other menu items) complimented the curry so well! 😍 For dessert they brought us out an apple tart and flan - the flan is a must try, y’all.
10/10 recommend giving them a visit! We can’t wait to come back!

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I had the Filet Mignon rolls and Soft Noodle Sauté. I finished everything! They make their mock meats all in house and the flavors are on point. If I lived in San Diego I would eat here as much as possible. The manager was very kind and gifted me three complimentary desserts. 10/10 recommend!

The staff make you feel like you're a regular when you come for the second time. The first time we had the jicama spring rolls and assorted starter plate: this was the perfect quick bite for us. The second time we had the vermicelli coconut dish: sweet, savory and crunchy with fresh vegetables. Also the dan dan noodles with mock beef: the spiciness is well encorporated in the dish, the mock meat, peanuts and cruncy toppings tie in perfectly. Their complementary desserts were a delicious surprise!

This place is WONDERFUL. The food was delicious. My family of 4 ordered a bit of everything and we couldn't get over the attention to details - the flavor was spot on, lots of textures in each dish, and large portions. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating to my hyper kiddos. We can't wait to come back and try more off the menu. You are seriously missing out if you haven't tried Thanh Tinh Chay yet.

Intimate space gave it a community vibe! Loved the owners personal welcome and the flavored water. Everything was delish!!! Had spring rolls, lemongrass chick’n rice plate and an incredible Thanh Toan Vermicelli bowl!!! Took my mom who’s not vegan and she was delighted by the flavors!

I had the Banh Mi and had the delicious flavored water they served it was so delicious. My friend ordered the duck with peanut sauce and dumplings which was also delicious. I have heard good things and it lived up to its name. Luckily I live walking distance so I will definitely eat there again.
