Outstanding Food & Service - Edit
This place is absolutely amazing! The ambiance and vibe of the restaurant makes you feel comfortable and content. The staff is outstanding, they are so kind and happy to offer recommendations on whatever you are curious about. The food is delicious and made with such care that you want to go back! As well as their pastries being some of the tastiest I’ve had in years! A sensational place with sensational staff and food!

Love Coronado - Edit
Back in 2018, before it was all vegan, this was my first place I ate vegan food at! Coronado holds a special place in my heart and the new location is fantastic! I love weekend brunch menu but their overall menu is delicious!

I’ll be back - Edit
We’ll definitely be back. I ordered the biscuits and gravy so glad they still had some available because they usually sell out and they were sooooo good! My husband got the potato tacos and the sauce was amazing. We were so impressed we also got a pop tart to go and it was flaky and delicious….we’ll be back.

We enjoyed eating here on our trip to AZ. We ate here twice. The food was good! The white chocolate macadamia nut cookies are the best! My favorite. The pop tart style pastry was also amazing!

Top quality vegan food in Phoenix! - Edit
Fully vegan restaurant in Coronado, Phoenix.
Read moreFood****
The food was fresh and delicious! We ordered the chia seed bowl, which was delightful and served with fruit. We also ordered the breakfast burrito, which tasted great! The best part was the margarita. It was sooo sweet and yummy I wish I could have drank a pitcher (and we rarely drink).
Atmosphere****
Nice indoor and outdoor seating with parking in their lot and across the street. The outside setting was really nice and especially on a nice day. Seats were comfortable and everything looked clean!
Service****
Great service with a smile! Quick and helpful too.
Price$$
Very well priced considering the quality!
Pros: Quality food, Beautiful atmosphere
Cons: Expensive but worth it

Local family owned excellent vegan restaurant - Edit
We stumbled upon The Coronado when we went to Nami’s for Sunday brunch and it was CLOSED!! So glad Nami’s was closed otherwise we wouldn’t have found this gem! The food was unbelievably good -real quality food, not fast food-type. We had the breakfast burritos (came with a scrumptious sauce)with sides of biscuits, potatoes and a brown sugar pastry. All of it was super good and the coffee was tasty as well. Wonderful service, neat eclectic vibe..just a really cool place. If you’re ever in Phoenix, don’t pass up the opportunity to come eat at The Coronado!

Beet and Quinoa Burger - Edit
I ordered the Beet and Quinoa burger to go. When I opened the box and took the lid off the bun it looked like Alpo dog food. If it was supposed to look like a patty they missed the mark, it was just a gob of mixture on a bun. But since I have never ordered from them before I don't know if this is how it is supposed to be?
Read moreIt looked raw to me but again maybe this is how it is made? As far as the taste, I heated it up briefly in the micro, and it tasted fine.
The side salad was lettuce with 2 cherry tomatoes, that was it.
If I go back I'll try something different. But I was disappointed after reading all the positive reviews.
Pros: Nestled in a quite neighborhood.
Cons: Parking is limited.

Great food and great people - Edit
The entire menu, consisting only of vegan food, tastes amazing. I had the potato tacos and was wowed with every bite. I’d recommend it to anyone whether it’s a first date or a common meal. It’s a bit pricier but the cost is well worth it.

Good food, nice staff - Edit
I had a cold brew coffee and the biscuits and gravy, both were good. The gravy was a very peppery mushroom gravy, which was good, but if you don't like pepper this is probably something you wouldn't enjoy. I was expecting a white gravy with some vegan sausage, more of a traditional biscuits and gravy, so I was a little disappointed. The staff were very friendly and the service was good. If I lived there I would definitely go again, but I was just in Phoenix for the weekend.

french toast on special was magnificent as was the biscuits and mushie gravy! only complaint is i wish it came with more gravy, we had to eat the last bit of the biscuit without any gravy which was still good but i do think they could give a littttle more. amazing server in black denim jacket, really helpful with the menu and super friendly and outgoing. 1030am on a saturday and didnt have to wait for a table! very very clean place with modernized decor. patio seating. most definitely will be back for dinner foods soon!!!

New location different vibe - Edit
This was my first visit to the Coronado since their move to a new location. At 5pm on a Saturday they were dead with lots of servers sitting at the bar and chatting loudly.
Read moreThe cauliflower taco are still excellent - seems a bit larger than before which I’m ok with. The fried Guac is amazing as usual. The creme Brûlée was tasty but not as firm as you would expect.
Tasty food but I miss the old style of ordering at the counter and limited servers. The servers seemed kinda pointless. Also I miss being able to see a full pastry case and pick from items. When I asked about desserts they referred me to the menu.
Pros: Tasty food
Cons: Too many servers hanging out and chatting, No visible pastry case, Hot inside

Good food no inside seating - Edit
We are out of town and found this place. We had the Chimichanga what was really good, pastries are amazing, staff is friendly. Portions are a little small. No inside seating what is a bummer especially in AZ where it’s a hot so during the day you can’t sit outside. We ended up eating in the car.

Better every time... - Edit
Last visit was in 2018, and since then they’ve gone entirely plant-based (yay)!
Read moreThe food was luscious, as expected. Their coffee, cocktails, and pastry case take breakfast and lunch up a notch, as well. The best thing, however, was the sincere and personal customer service we received while dining there. My boyfriend and I walked in sunburnt and sweaty after attending an Animal Save vigil south of town, yet we were treated like royalty from the owner and staff for the duration of our meal there, as were all customers, it seemed.
Honestly, if I lived in town I would probably eat here two or there times a week, minimum. It’s just worth going back.
Pros: Entirely plant-based menu, Casual, comfortable atmosphere, INCREDIBLE, outstanding, customer service
Cons: Feel guilty using disposable cups and utensils.
