Leckere vegane Pfannkuchen im Herzen Amsterdams - Edit
Bei unserem Besuch im The Happy Pig Pancake Shop in Amsterdam genossen wir einen veganen Pfannkuchen mit Schokolade und Bananen – wirklich köstlich. Obwohl auch glutenfreie Buchweizen-Optionen verfügbar sind, entschieden wir uns für diese süße Variante und wurden nicht enttäuscht.
Read moreDas Ambiente des kleinen Ladens ist gemütlich, jedoch bemerkten wir einen intensiven Küchengeruch. Trotzdem überwog der Geschmack des Essens diesen kleinen Nachteil. Der Kaffee war ebenfalls gut, wurde jedoch in Einwegbechern serviert, was zusätzliche Kosten durch die Einwegsteuer mit sich bringt.

I got one with the apple mix, maple syrup, and vegan whipped cream, and one with chocolate sauce, strawberry jam, and banana (fresh strawberries are by availability). Both were delicious but the apple mix had to be my favourite. I also had a yummy iced chai latte with soy milk. This place definitely satisfied my never-ending pancake cravings and I would love to go back and try the savoury versions and waffles.

There are many things on the menu that can be modified to satisfy any vegan or vegetarian. Priced reasonably in portions adequate size. The place is not fancy by any means but the food is good in the location is good.

One vegan savory option (bean chili). 0,50 € is added to vegan pancakes, also oatmilk costs extra. And hot drinks have 0,25 € plastic tax added, not visible in the menu. The pancake was tasty, but you might end up paying a bit more than you expected.

We were so happy to find a typical dutch pancake place with vegan options, and everything we had was really good. The service wasn't the best, but maybe it wasn't their best day so i'm not counting that for the review.

It’s a nice small and cozy pancake shop (not a restaurant even though you can eat in!) at Spui in Amsterdam. They have vegan options: vegan coffee, hot chocolate with vegan whipped cream etc. The girl behind the counter was rather friendly.
