Delicious - Edit
The vegan broccoli chicken Mac n cheese is the best vgn Mac I’ve had thus far. The vgn nachos are so good even my non vgn boyfriend craves them! We’ve come here at least once a month since finding it.

Vegan Options! - Edit
Hungry Tiger is one of the older surviving dive bars offering vegan-friendly options in Portland. While a step below many vegan/vegan-friendly options for bar food, I've always enjoyed their atmosphere & the prices are quite low given the current dining-out climate.

It’s what you would expect! - Edit
I love the ambiance of this dive bar. It’s my neighborhood watering hole and I have a hard time saying no to their vegan corn dogs! The loaded vegan nachos aren’t bad either. Great place to come sit on the patio with friends, great mood lighting & stuff drinks.

Good food, can sit outside, we really liked it! - Edit
You order at the bar. They have several vegan options clearly marked in the menu. We got the vegan chick’n and broccoli mac n cheese and the vegan corn dogs with tots. They have several vegan dipping sauces to choose from. The ranch is bomb.

The place is very nice! Delicious food and corn dog is bomb! - Edit
The drinks have vegan whipped cream and the chili bowl is so yummy! The tofu wings are good but not amazing. I would rather it with another protein option. But the place is awesome 👏🏽 food comes fast even if the place is full

great vegan options! - Edit
There were so many vegan options at this bar I loved it!! I got the corndog basket, and the corndogs were sooooo good. The breading really was perfect I couldn't believe it. I would give the corndogs alone 5 stars because they were so good and a great size for the price! I also got the vegan tofu wings which I didn't care for that much, they were kinda giant fried pieces of tofu, not bad but not exactly what I was expecting. I tried the vegan ranch and thousand island dressing and they were great and there were also a few other options. Very happy with my dinner and beer at this bar! It was pretty quiet on a Thursday night but I enjoyed the peace while enjoying my dawgs😄

You won’t go hungry ! - Edit
I’ve been here twice in 1 week now. I couldn’t believe how good the food was ! Nor could my partner. Definitely try the corn dogs. I was thoroughly impressed with the TLT. The vegan chicken & broccoli mac & cheese was perfect - I can see myself ordering just this every time. Side tots were done just right. No complaints whatsoever. Can’t wait to try all the other options !

I accidentally got there when there was no restaurant at the “vegan mall” around the corner. Nice place for couple of beers and vegan fast food.

Corn Dogs! - Edit
I was visiting from out of town and mentioned I missed corn dogs and wish I could find vegan ones. My friend said they knew just the place...Hungry Tiger! Wow, I fell in love. The batter was absolutely perfection 👌 The tatchos were great and the tacos were decent. I couldn’t stop talking about the corn dogs and tatchos though. Highly recommend!

Great bar & decent restaurant - Edit
One of my favorite bars in Portland. Definitely gets a five star in that category. Only gave them a 4 star rating because this is a food app, and it’s still fairly average bar food. The atmosphere and staff make it well worth going back time and again. The patio is huge. They have pool tables and pinball machines. Definitely recommend!!

Great tap list and totally satisfying bar food. Obviously it's a bar, service will be bar-like, but if you're not rude to the bartender they won't be rude to you. It's a simple rule really.

vegan happy hour & pinball - Edit
We enjoy this place; although when we came last, they lost our order and we ended up waiting ridiculously long for our happy hour 2$ tacos. Luckily we came to play pinball and drink, so I kinda forgot about my food anyways! But when it did strike my mind that "Hey, we haven't eaten yet!," we realized it was like 40 minutes and everyone around us had food. Once we brought it to the attention of the staff, we had our food within 5 minutes. :) yummy tacos. Simple, but good. I think they were TVP. They have a "ving" night, so I'd like to go back then!
Read moreI like that they have the Scared Stiff pinball machine and a few other good ones in there. Some of the bartenders have been grumpAsses, but whatever.. I don't take it personal.
It's grungy, it's dark, and there are tigers everywhere. Darkness is good for HSP like myself.
Pros: vegan happy hour, pinball, cute tigresses everywhere
Cons: often grumpy bartender ladies, whysomad?, serves animal flesh

My favorite dive in Portland - Edit
It's true that they're an omnivore place, but the vegan food is prepared on dedicated equipment. Their drinks are less expensive than most places, their portions ridiculously generous, and they have pinball to go along with their old-school sense of humor and place. Get the vegan totchos, even if you don't have someone to share with. They reheat well the next day. And the house-made vegan ranch dressing is to die for. So good.

Decent vegan options, absolutely terrible service - Edit
Went in last night after a movie. Love the fact that Portland has so many late night vegan options. Ordered the BBQ tofu wings which came out buffalo. Also the vegan corn dogs which were delicious! As for the bartender who served myself and my friend, one of the rudest experiences I've ever had every step of the way. The looks I got from this bartender for no reason whatsoever.... Just blew my mind. If you don't want to work late at a bar than don't. I also work in the service industry and have for 6 years and I've encountered and dealt with it much more professionally and politely. In summary, go here for the food, which is pretty tasty, but don't expect to feel welcome.

Decent Vegan Fast Food - Edit
Not quite sure where some of the complaints about bad service are coming from, as it appeared to be a bar rather than a sit-down restaurant, at least when we visited. You go to the bar, you order your food and a beer, you sit down and watch the hockey - simple.
Read moreNot all of the food is veggie, but most things have a vegan alternative, and there are a lot of cheap happy hour deals. We had the buffalo wings (very spicy, which was good for me, although perhaps a bit too much for my girlfriend), fries, and corn dogs. I've never had a corn dog before in my life, so I have no idea if these were good corn dogs - they seemed a bit...overly breadcrumbed? But maybe that's the way it goes, I'll leave the Americans to judge.
All round, it was a decent place - cheap food, fairly good selection of beer, kind of grungy character. If you're looking for some laid back bar food, you could do worse.

OK Food Horrible Service - Edit
I went in the last part of August and ordered dinner. If took forever! There was only one waitress and she kept going into the bar and talking to her friend and could care less about the customers. The restaurant kept filling up and everyone kept waiting. I finally was done and gave her a big tip that hopefully she would change her attitude. I went to the bathroom and checked to see if she took the tip. She took $2 out of $5.

Excellent Nachos - Edit
It's a bar, I wasn't expecting some kind of fancy service, and it's not that nice looking. Trendy eclectic Portland, it's a bar...with FABULOUS Nachos. I was craving cheese, of course didn't want to eat cheese, but none the less was craving it. Back when I did eat cheese I had some pretty bad nachos at restaurants. These were fabulous, not just the cheese sauce, but the whole pile of them with black beans, pico de gallo, sour cream, jalapenos. They were just yum!! Will definitely be going back again and trying some of their other things.
