Pleasantly surprised!

Wow!! This is actually really good, made-from-scratch food with several vegan and vegetarian options - not just deep-fried “bar food”. I accidentally ended up stopping here for a quick bite because Lucky’s Taproom next door happened to be closed. I tried the Black Bean burger with vegan cheese & vegan ranch and I was so surprised at how tasty it was!! The house-made patty definitely exceeded my expectations. My burger came with Mike Sells chips which are local Dayton-made. (loved that!)

They can actually veganize a lot more items than the menu lists, just ask! I was helped by Mikey, who was fantastic and knowledgeable.

The Trolley Stop is a great little neighborhood pub located in a beautiful historic building in Dayton’s Oregon District. They have a gorgeous outdoor patio space (that’s dog-friendly!!) and of course plenty of beers on tap. Can’t wait to be back to try some more things and sit out on the patio next time!

Pros: Mostly locally-sourced ingredients, Community-minded establishment

Meh

Pub atmosphere. There are a few veg/vegan options. I had vegan macho nachos to begin with. The cheese was watery. I also had couscous with roasted vegetables in a red sauce. It was fine.

Others had pulled pork tacos, potatoes soup and a side salad. The person who ordered the tacos did not like or eat them. The soup and salad were nothing special.

If you are looking for a veg/vegan meal in Dayton try another place.
