Vegan food delivery based in Hayward and ships to all of continental US. Product range includes meal plans, bakery goods, smoothies and cleanses. Reported closed April 2023.
I'm spoiled in California by ever-available fresh vegetables so I wasn't expecting much from meals that are delivered frozen. Boy was I wrong. We've now sampled 13 of their dishes and just signed up for the monthly delivery plan because the food is generally very good and so convenient. You absolutely don't have to sign up for a plan--most of their deals are one time combinations of a variety of dishes. They seem to have frequent special deals which helps make it more affordable. Looks like they also sometimes have Groupon deals. A lot of the packages includes the price of postage which must be very expensive for them because they use FedEx overnight service. Many of their meals seem to be geared towards people with an interest in losing weight. We've stayed away from those but even the regular meals seem to be lighter on calories and fat, but still high on taste. We've added things like fresh onions for the chili, crackers for soups, and salsa for the Mexican themed dishes to make the flavors pop even more, but many of the dishes are perfect as is. My favorites so far are the Enchiladas de Colorado, Shepard's Pie, Chickpea Curry Soup, and Quinoa Burrito. I found the Beef and Broccoli and the Szechuan Eggplant too oily. We've only tried the savory dinner dishes so I can't speak to the quality of the smoothies, sweets, or breakfast items. Service is incredibly attentive. This company is making it so easy and convenient to eat well. Thank you Vegan Garden!

Pros: Very convenient way to eat well, They don't tie you into any plans you don't want
Cons: Wish they offered organic meals, Celebrity chef meals don't have nutritional info
