Exceeded expectations! - Edit
After a few days in more remote parts of the highlands (with fewer vegan options), I was really excited to try this place out. It exceeded expectations! Lattes were great. My omni partner liked his breakfast burrito so much he asked me to recreate at home. My mac and cheese was probably the best vegan mac I’ve ever had!

Great breakfast, lunch, and coffee - Edit
Ate a late lunch one day and breakfast the next. Great they are open early (shame they close for dinner). Good spot while staying in Fort William, few tables could fill up fast.

Great place - Edit
Cute cafe that offers range of foods: breakfast, wraps, soups, pastries, cakes and mains like pasta. Has specials. We’ve visited three times across the years. The first time was great; the second disappointing and the third great so I’m going to chalk up the second visit as hopefully just a one off bad day.
Read moreSecond visit:
We got the nozorella toastie and special curried lentil wrap & a beetroot and raspberry cake (fluffy texture, needs more jam, wasn’t tasting beetroot or raspberry). All of the dishes needed more flavour/seasoning. Presentation and portion size could be better.
Third visit: Nice selection of cakes to choose from. Got a carrot & pistachio cake & a salted millionaire cakes, tea and matcha latte. Also got some mexican bean roll and pasty to take away which kept well until the next day

Great place to stop - Edit
It’s always exciting to find a vegan restaurant in a place you wouldn’t expect. We got the Mac and cheese and a chickpea cauliflower curry pasty (no picture). Both were good but the pasty was the best!

Vegan Gem in the Highlands - Edit
Wildcat is a must visit if you're in the area.
Read moreI had the Korean scrambled tofu, black forest waffles, chai latte and a breakfast tea.
The food was so amazing!
I also ordered the no steak Pasty and a cinnamon roll to take away. They were great too!
I highly recommend coming here but they're not the biggest place and they're SUPER busy! Great atmosphere and buzz but not the best place if you want a quiet coffee and to watch the world go by.
They also have this cute sitting area in the back!
Pros: Amazing breakfast, Lots of cakes!
Cons: Very busy!

Excellent Vegan Food - Edit
I was on a tour and this was where we stopped for lunch. I was glad to have seen this vegan restaurant in this town. I ordered the kale salad, and it was delicious. Try this place out if visiting or on a tour stop.

Wow - vegan heaven in Fort William - Edit
Well, what could you expect from a completely vegan café? The Wildcat delivers nothing less than everything! From breakfast to lunch to great coffee to cake and pastries. Oh, and it also has a little vegan store in the back. Been there a couple times when we were in Fort William. This lovely place is definitely the place to go when visiting Fort William. Highly recommended!

Sweat and delicious - Edit
The best place for vegans in Fort William! I loved everything about the small place, it had a cute and comfortable design, very friendly staff, lots of good food and coffee. I ate there twice and it was delicious. I can recommend the soup (lentil-tomato) with the pastry (filling was vegetables), the carrot cake, the biscoff cake and the Oreo cake.

Nice spot in the centre of Fort William. The Café is quite popular but we were lucky and found a table right away. There are plenty of dishes and the food is served really fast. Highly recommended as spot for breakfast and lunch!

amazing cafe in Fort William - Edit
We were quite surprised to find this gem in Fort William – a great cafe with amazing food! We had the mushroom croissant (which was insanely good), the Korean scrambled tofu on sourdough toast and the peppered steak-less pasty, and we loved all of it. We also took two pieces of cake to go, and they were also just delicious. A must-visit if you are in Fort William!!

Vegan restaurant - Edit
Very happy to see a vegan restaurant in fort william. Unfortunately a lot of options were sold out when we visited. Both drinks and lunch options. Well it was a good sign, because they are doing well.

Everything I hoped it would be - Edit
After trekking here for 2 weeks from John O' Groats: you will not find a better vegan spot than this in the highlands. Specialty coffee, tofu scramble, range of cakes - all the hallmarks of a top tier cafe.

Exactly one year later, we came back and what should I say? Nothing to add, still our favorite place in Fort William.

Good vegan options - Edit
We visited The Wildcat in June 2025 for lunch. We had the macaroni cheese and a mushroom and cheese filled croissant. Both were nice and it's always great to find a fully vegan place. They had lots of cakes and pastries available and the Millionaire’s Cake we opted for was delicious.

Massive disappointment - Edit
Overpriced and bland food, we had the steak and also vegetable pasties both were underwhelming and £8 each!!! We also had a wrap and a piece of cake (I can't remember which now) again bland and disappointing. Yes it's great that it is all vegan but the menu and taste of food could be massively improved especially for the ridiculose prices.
