Always Amazing

My non-vegetarian friend turned me on to this place a few years ago. They have the best gluten-free noodle dishes and vegan rice balls. Most recently I popped in to treat myself to a birthday lunch and was pleased to try their beetroot and rose petal latte. I wish they opened for dinner and on more days of the week. (But I understand the importance of work-life balance.)

Pros: Gluten free options, Rice Balls, Noodle Bowls

Cons: Only open for lunch, 5 days per week.

Several Vegan Ramen + Japanese Baked Goods + Snacks

I had the garlic ramen, walnut miso onigiri, chocolate croissant, a bunch of mochi... Their food makes me feel happy 🙂🙂🙂

The ramen noodles are made in-house 🍜🍜🍜🌱🌱

They also carry many ready to eat meals.

Pros: Food quality , Variety of available foods

Cons: Opening hours are too limited

Great Bowls and Sandwiches

Enjoyed a late lunch in this cozy cafe. A bit loud on this rainy day which can happen when people are trying to talk over music. Really tasty Spicey Yan Tan Ramen and miso glazed eggplant sandwich. Grab and go available too.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE

Came here for lunch because I was really craving more authentic ramen and this place did not disappoint! We had smoothies, the spicy ramen, and an almond croissant (super random). The flavors were incredible and I loved the space. They also had a small market area where you could buy prepared/frozen meals. I will absolutely be back, such a great find! Also they were okay with me bringing my pup inside😄

Pros: Reasonably priced, Unique menu, Cool space

Excellent Food

Ramen Salad With Cashew Sauce is delicious. Love the smashed avocado toast for a quick lunch. Gluten free options available for both!

Pretty good vegan Asian restaurant

Ramen and other noodle dishes. Joyous vegan baked goods. Take-out and frozen goods as well. A higher price point than what is warranted, perhaps, but still a yummy spot to have lunch.

Very tasty!

Many vegan items on the menu and in the grocery section. My first visit I had the spicy ramen salad bowl, very tasty and completely satisfying. I took away a cinnamon roll (good and sticky, warmed up next morning) and a day-old savoury micro-mini-pizza, which was very good warmed up the next day. Soft-serve vegan ice cream is here! Grocery items are available, some chilled and frozen, including three kinds of gyoza, pizza dough and more. This would certainly be a regular stop for me, if I lived in the area.

Only 4.5 stars, in my books, since it’s not fully vegan.

So so impressed! Would go back any time.

Was so happy with my experience at the Workshop! Was looking for a nice lunch place to meet a friend for a bite, and have now found a go-to-place for when I’m in North Van!
We both got the spicy ramen and loved it, super fresh ingredients and so so yummy 😋

Pros: Quick service, Food came out super hot!, Friendly and professional staff

Cons: Had sold out of one type of ramen by 130pm

Delicious and beautiful!

All vegetarian and vegan with lots of gluten free options too. My Spicy Tan Tan Ramen (w gluten free rice noodle sub) was a work of art and delicious! The broth is made with Butternut squash and is nice and creamy with no dairy. I'm impressed!

Delicious

Small space offering a variety of Japanese bowls, avo toasts, coffees and smoothies. A large variety of treats on the counter (muffins, cinnamon buns, huge cookies and other Japanese inspired goodies) and many to-go items from a grocery/refrigerated section.

Pros: Amazing treats, Friendly service , Delicious bowls

Cons: Limited dining area

Service was friendly, and efficient.
Soup of the day was so good: tomato and coconut
Turmeric rooibus latte and apple juice were great too.

Pros: Soulful , Vegan options galore!

Ramen and sweet treats

I can't decide which was better, the spicy tan tan ramen or the Kyoto udon. They were both superb. A little pricey for two bowls of soup, but well worth it.
Also a great location for coffee and treats -- the croissants are fantastic, some of the best vegan ones I've had. Delicious cinnamon rolls as well.
We're lucky to have this place in the area.

Pros: Fast service, Great space, Delicious

Cons: A little pricey

Great Take-Out food and eat-in Ramen House

I tried the Spicy Ramen, the Cashew Sauce Veggie Bowl and the house-made Udon Noodle. All three dishes had different flavors and cost about 14-15 dollar.
If you stop by to order take out, don’t forget to bring a Tupperware or other container to avoid plastic lids etc.
Nice and friendly staff. Quick service.
Will definitely come back!

Pros: Vegan food - only optional add on vegetarian, Decent price, good quality, Bar full of vegan baked goodies

Cons: Vegetarian options like egg , Plastic containers

Fantasic ramen!

We had the avocado toast, both types of ramen, and a cinnamon roll. Fantastic food! The ramen broth is the best I've ever had (shoyu especially) and the noodles are incredible. Avo toast was a little salty but still nice and refreshing. Can't recommend enough! I go back every month or so, it's my favourite restaurant in the world.

Perfect.

The Workshop is a dream! North Van is blessed to have it, especially considering the lack of veggie places here. The shop is run with precision and calmness. The staff make excellent food and there is a ton of natural light. Some cute accessories and ingredients are also for sale. 100% recommend you go RIGHT NOW.

Pros: Delicious, unique food, Atmosphere, Friendly staff

Best Ramen!

What a surprise! Had the Organic "Nama" Shoyu Ramen and I melted a little inside. The mushroom stock was delicious...I would drink that stuff by itself. Highly recommend you take the bus or walk to this little hideaway because it's worth it.

Pros: peanut free food

Cons: expect to spend around $10 but (again) worth it

New Vegetarian Cafe, opened a couple of months ago.

I can confidently say that this is the best Ramen I've ever had. They have two other Ramen options I am very much looking forward to trying.
Nice little cozy cafe with an open kitchen.

Delicious hand made noodles!

I have visited Workshop three times and received consistently wonderful service and amazing ramen each time. The ingredients are fresh and high quality, the noodles are made by hand, and the broth is very good. They also make vegan cinnamon buns with a daiya cream cheese icing. They have a little shop where they sell frozen noodles and frozen batches of the aforementioned cinnamon buns :)

Pros: delicious food, friendly staff, fast service

Cons: not much seating for larger parties
