Lovely - Edit
Small bakery, only a couple seats inside so probably will only take away in future. Lovely pastries, but personally wasn’t a fan of the coffee!

Amazing - Edit
Honestly cannot rate this high enough. The croissant? Authentic and delicious! The almond croissant? Delightful, indistinguishable from the dairyful version. The pain au chocolat? Dreamy! Honestly give this a solid 10/10

I really enjoyed the danish pastry. Normally i don’t like them as they can be hard but this one was lovely, moist, creme brûlée filling was amazing. So creamy heavy dreamy
Its almost great to support independent businesses
Pros: Good location , Super tasty, Good value for money

Best vegan croissants and pains au chocolat I've tasted! - Edit
As a French person, I can definitely say that the products at The Dorky French are absolutely the real deal and very very good ( which makes sense seeing as the owner is French)! They're even better than the ones I've had in a Parisian vegan bakery.
Read moreThey open early so I plan to make it my once a week treat before work, I've missed these!
The products are a bit pricey, but on par with equivalent non-vegan products in other places.
I haven't tried the coffee.
EDIT: my comment on price is about how expensive they are to me relative to how much I earn, and not a comment on quality for the price: they are absolutely worth their price (see comments from the owner below).
Also I've tried the coffee now and it's really nice.

Pros: Early opening hours, Excellent viennoiseries
Cons: a bit pricey, but = to non-vegan equivalents

Mercii Abigaïl for your kind words and 5 star review, I didn’t realise you were French ! Always amazing to hear that our pastries are even better than the ones in Paris; as for prices we really tried to make it as fair as possible regarding the cost, time and labour that goes into them, but we are looking into reimplementing bundle prices soon! Merci encore

Re prices I’ll also add that our pastries are chunkier than the average croissant on the market, and cheaper croissants also contain low percentage of butter to save costs on production, but we don’t :)

Yes, I am! That's why I've been excessively enthusiastic about you opening, I've been here 7 years and vegan for 4, so I've missed good french pastries!
Read moreI'm sorry, I didn't mean to say in my comment that they were unfairly priced, but more meaning on a scale of how much things cost compared to how much I earn. I do think that they are worth their price.

Très bon! Best vegan pastries I've had in years - Edit
Cute little bakery with a small selection of delicious pastries - all vegan - and coffee. We tried the croissant, apple turnover and pain au chocolat and we were impressed! Very friendly staff too. We will definitely come back when visiting Glasgow.

Pros: Friendly staff, Very very delicious
Cons: You can't really sit inside - only a small bench
marlenemamia
Merci beaucoup Marie, really happy you love the pastries that you’ve tried so far! We are technically and legally a takeaway bakery, the window benches and stools are a small add-on for the customer area but indeed there’s not much space to sit inside 😊
