Super friendly staff and good food

We stopped there because it was right beside our hotel.
It's a family owned restaurant and they are very friendly.
The food was pretty good, and the prices were not bad.
It's a decent option, and the restaurant is clean and welcoming as well.
We came back 2 other times after our first visit, and our meals were amazing.
The dry noodles are so good. 👌
What a lovely family. 😊

9/10 after 3 visits. 🙏

We liked it

Nice place for a quick lunch. They have pretty good mock meat.

We had the tamarind chicken, tamarind eggplant and rice. All very good (with lots of onion).

Didn’t understand the hype

I was so confused from all the reviews as we found the food to be very underwhelming. We couldn’t eat the spring rolls as they were just batter and no filling and tasted of old fryer oil so strange! The tofu in tomato sauce was the nicest dish but I’ve had so much nicer food across Vietnam in similar family style restaurants for the same price or less. Wouldn’t return or recommend.

Pros: The tofu in tomato sauce was ok

Cons: Rice was cold and dry , Spring rolls were not nice at all , Noodles had a strange taste and didn’t seem fresh

Lots of choice, big portions

We went twice while we were in Hue. First I had the chicken fried rice, which was huge and tasty. Next, I had the lemongrass and chilli tofu - this isn't spicy, but one of the best things I've eaten while we've been in Vietnam, definitely recommend this! I also tried the Phó, it was okay but there are tastier things to get! My partner loved the fried spring rolls and fried noodles.

Pros: Big portions, Really tasty, Cheap

Adresse incontournable

Restaurant avec une carte très variée.
Tous les plats étaient bons
J'ai pris un phô, délicieux.
On y retournera pour goûter d'autres plats.
Vraiment à recommander

Excellent!!

We actually went to this place several times while we were in Hue. The service was extremely friendly on all the occassions, they have a big menu with many vegan dishes to choose from, and they were all absolutely delicious. Loved it.

Great food and friendly staff

We’ve only tried the fried chkn in tamarind sauce and in the sweet and sour. Both were delish, but our favourite were the tamarind sauce. We even came here a second time the day after to have another go at it. 😊👍

Delicious Food - but a little bit too salty

Very tasty food. My meal was perfect. Unfortunately, the food of my fellow travelers was slightly oversalted.
The regional specialties were very tasty and nice to be able to try them vegan.
Would definitely eat here again.

Fine

This place is fine. I had the pho which was ok, but nothing special.

Whilst they offer tofu and veg I’d say they’re quite heavy on the mock meats.

Nice food with local dishes

I really enjoyed the lemongrass tofu and the banh beo (a local hue dish). Only downside were the fried noodles with soy chicken and veggies, the veggies still seemed a bit dirty and the flavour I found a bit random (maybe the oil they used?) My partner liked it though so maybe just not for my taste! The soy chicken they used was good too, so would have liked to try in a different dish. The menu is very mock meat forward so if you don't like mock meat this might not be the place for you, but they did still have veg/tofu dishes.

Simple, yet super tasty!

Had the faux 'chicken' with lemongrass and chilli. Packed full of flavour and filling. Oh, and the carrot juice was great!

Pros: Very tasty., Nice spice and heat., Filling.

Ok food, more expensive side

The staff were friendly but the food was just standard. Didn’t taste so fresh and a bit expensive for what it is, in comparison to other veggie places. The soy chicken noodles were the best order, but we wouldn’t recommend the tofu seaweed with pineapple as didn’t taste fresh at all. Aubergine side dish was nice.

Yummy lemongrass dish

Good selection, fully vegan meals, lots of mock meat, which unfortunately isn’t our thing. Our soups were okay, and the portion of stir fried veggies was generous. If you like lemongrass, the stir fried lemongrass mushrooms were tasty and flavourful. Our four mains and a mango smoothie totalled at 250,000 VND.

Lovely food and friendly staff

It’s odd reading about the experiences that people have had with regards to reheated / microwaved food - this was not our experience at all. Of course it’s possible that we’re mistaken! But for what it’s worth, everything seemed freshly done, at least the day that we visited 🤷‍♀️

The only thing we didn’t enjoy were the rice cakes - everything else we ordered was very tasty

Pros: Tasty , Varied menu , Friendly staff

Great family run business

Everything we had was delicious.
Given more time I would come back to try more different dishes.

Note: they seem to have moved rather recently, and some Maps (Trip Advisor) still link to the old house number 53. It is now 15.

Was sceptical at first because the juice was not fresh but the food was really tasty. We especially loved the fried tofu with lemongrass!

Payed 289 k for two people.

Clean and satisfying

This place is nice, clean, and has good service. Food is delicious. The rice cakes are really nice. The fake meat is unlike any fake meat I ever had. And I also never had jackfruit like this either. It feels like entering another food culture of Vietnam.

Rather disappointing

We were looking forward to visiting this place very much due to all the great reviews, but we were disappointed.

My husband had the fried tofu with lemongrass and did not enjoy it at all. It tasted as if it was heated in the microwave (we also heard the sound from the kitchen), it was gummilike and very chewy and dry. The sauce was also kind of weird.
I had the pho and liked it much better. The taste was good, although the tofu was a bit dry, too, and there was a lot of mock meat in it (I‘m not a fan of that, but others might enjoy it).

The man serving us (the owner?) was very friendly and spoke English quite well. The restaurant is completely vegan and there is a large choice of dishes.

Very good

Very convincing soy-based meat substitute. The lady who owns the restaurant is vegan herself and easy to communicate with. I cannot recommend the rice cakes enough.

Pros: Delicious, Rice, Cakes

Overpriced & Very Average

Food was just very basic, portions were small for the price and just overall wasn’t really that great. It was just fine, worth going there in a pinch I guess

Pros: It’s an option

Cons: Expensive , Small portions
