Stunning interiors, outrageously expensive - Edit
The cafe is really beautiful and hip. We had the filter coffee and pork cutlets sandos. They were good. Don’t get me wrong, I am a specialty coffee enthusiast but I have never seen such prices in my life and I have traveled to 50 countries. 1200 yen for a latte and 800 for filter coffee is absolute insanity

Wow!!! - Edit
As a sensitive caffeine drinker, this place exceeded all of my expectations. The way they drip their coffee is almost like they are chemists in a lab. I went for the sweetened iced latte which was hardly sweetened at all and it paired very well with the cucumber sandwich.
Read moreThere was a shaved ice dessert that is seasonal and came in either raspberry or mango flavoring via syrup. I went for the mango and the portion was a lot larger than I expected. It was certainly refreshing to have this on a hot Kyoto day.
I see other reviewers have qualms about the price of this place and while it is on the higher side -- you certainly get what you pay for in regard to quality. Visit this place, stay for the coffee but make sure to have a sandwich.
Pros: Coffee, Sandwiches, Service

Best “egg” sandwich! - Edit
I enjoyed the best “egg” sandwich I have ever had as well as an iced latte with oat milk. It is a nice environment that serves only vegan food. The sandwich was delicious and I hope to go back again to try the katsu! I definitely recommend.

Delicious food! - Edit
Went May 2024 and got a latte, strawberry milk (both with oat), and the vegan egg sandwich and cutlet sandwich. The cutlet sandwich was what really stood out. I would go back for it, it was so flavourful and delicious!

Overrated - Edit
Tbh I don't get the hype.
Read moreThe menu is way overpriced. Drinks with plant milk come in at a heavy 1200yen. Same for the sandwich, which was okay, but nothing special. Too oily for my taste.
Also, I don't really get the concept. At a coffee shop I am expecting sweets like cakes and muffins. But there are no sweets except a canele.

incredible coffee shop - Edit
seriously go here, it has been one of our favourite places in Kyoto. The drinks are pricey compared to Melbourne standards but we felt they were worth it. The strawberry oat milk was a highlight and we would definitely recommend. Coffee is also superb. The best part was definitely the sandwiches. So good to have a fried fish and vegan cutlet sandwich!! Another pro is the interior is absolutely stunning.

Comfy vegan breakfast - Edit
It is very conveniently located to have breakfast before taking the train from Tokyo station. There are at least two vegan sandwiches on the menu, we chose the croque-monsieur, as well as coffee with oat milk. I really liked the sandwich, the cheese has a good consistency, the coffee was wonderful. The cafe is located at the ground floor of the office building, the staff is polite, credit cards are accepted.

A very stylish vegan cafe - Edit
It is a renovated old Japanese house, and the interior and furniture are very stylish.
Read moreA recommended cafe for a quiet stay, a little far from the downtown.
Besides coffee, you can also enjoy bancha (Japanese roasted tea).
They offer vegan egg sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, katsu sandwiches, and teeka masala sandwiches.
The sandwiches are Japanese style.
They're all delicious, but I recommend the katsu sandwich👍
It seems like new menu items are being added all the time.

Delicious Sandwiches~ - Edit
We went there for breakfast and had 3 different sandwiches, all of them were super delicious (eggless egg, tonkatsu and cucumber). I would definitely come again! But the cafe latte is a little bit expensive I think, since some sandwiches are cheaper than the cafe🙈

Have ordered from here twice and happy every time - Edit
Love their oat coffee, caneles and egg sandwich.
Read moreTheir coffee is much better than most I've had in Japan.
I've liked all of the sandwiches I've ordered from there (have tried the egg, cucumber, fish and katsu). I really like the egg and cucumber.
Caneles are firm (as they should be) on the outside and soft and yummy on the inside.
Coffee is creamy.
Egg is scarily realistic.
Pros: Egg sandwich , Coffee, Canales
Cons: Katsu could be a bit better

Quality cafe with vegan food - Edit
Visited at lunchtime.
Read moreThis place was a true gem you can only find in Japan!
The interior reminds of a classy European cafe. The beautiful courtyard is traditionally Japanese.
Service was of utmost quality. Everything on the food menu was vegan, oat milk was available for drinks.
Tried their new item on the menu, the vegan fish & chips. Otherwise, sandwiches and desserts were available. Everything tasted great
Pros: Stylish atmosphere, Vegan food menu, Not expensive

Vegan Sando! - Edit
Stopped by for a coffee and a vegan Sando - all the food is vegan and they were making the Sando bread fresh on site. I had the katsu and it was light and tasty - it was a little small serving wise so a good snack. The coffee was also delicious - I just got a black coffee. It did take a little while for the Sando to come out but the staff were lovely. Definitely worth stopping by if you want a vegan Sando!
