SO GOOD

Heard many a time that UVK is great. Finally went because it was close by (23rd St CE station). Oh my goodness! Absolutely fantastic. The vibes are immaculate, with excellent music, decor and staff. I think the best chick’n and waffles in the city. Delicious loaded broccoli. The orange juice based mocktail with cinnamon was also divine. And what a treat to have a non alcoholic espresso martini!

Cafe Blossom

I had the best vegan brunch (ever) at Blossom's charming location located on Carmine. The neighborhood is cute and walkable to many different things. The space, and the opened windows during August, was quite nice. For brunch, I ordered the fried steak, which came with perfectly fried tasty seitan, wonderful gravy, and healthy greens. It was hard to not pig out and finish my meal, as it was incredibly tasty. The NYC Blossom chain is among my favorite restaurants in NYC and I highly recommend them.

More is better

The Blossom empire further expands. Most shocking is they don't have the milkshakes! They said the menu was totally different from the other Blossoms, but my husband had the Seitan Marsala. Maybe it has different sides than at Blossom, I don't know. It was fantastic at any rate. I got a Seitan sandwich from "Boards" (which are sandwiches) It was awesome. Not huge though, because I ate my whole dinner which I rarely do. I got one onion ring as a sort of garnish, and it was hands down the best onion ring EVER. So crunchy and not at all greasy. I asked him if I could order a side of them and he said only at Happy Hour. Beer menu is limited for beer-lovers like us.

Delicious!

Great food, very high quality.

The "fried chicken" was so good it actually made me feel awkward eating it!

Salt and vinegar chips yum!

We also had the scrambled tofu and a broccoli special, both we're very nice. :-)

Pros: High quality, Extensive menu , Delicious

Cons: Only a few tables outside
