Nice place for special occasions - Edit
We really enjoyed everything we ate at Veda. Everything is vegetarian, and they had a decent selection of vegan options. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It’s a bit pricey, but the ambiance is so nice, it’s in a great location, and the food is worth it. I’d definitely recommend coming here for a special occasion or a date night.

Good looking small bites - Edit
Excellent service and friendly servers. Food was nicely presented. I enjoyed the small bites and lovely ambiance. Food taste was average but I enjoyed the creativity how the food was upgraded with non-traditional ingredients.

🍽️ The unlimited Indian street food Cha Cha Cha Brunch! - Edit
https://www.instagram.com/p/Ct1heR0Jlf3/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Read more🍽️ Just had the most amazing brunch at Veda! The unlimited Indian street food was to die for, and the free-flowing champagne was the perfect way to start the weekend.
🌯 We started with the classic pani puri, a crispy dough stuffed with potato and beans and topped with a mint and coriander dressing. And the avo sev puri, topped with avocado, mint, and tamarind chutney. Both were so flavoursome and refreshing.
🥟 Who doesn't love silk route momos? The dumplings were filled with spinach and ricotta cheese. I just have a soft spot for dumplings, momos and pierogis.
🥔 The Aloo Matar Tikki, which is a pan-fried potato patty served with arrabbiata sauce, and the Paneer Chilla - a thin and crispy Indian-style crepe filled with savoury paneer (Indian cottage cheese) - were also highlights from the menu.
🧆 There are more tantalising options on the menu, including Samosa Chaat, Onion Bhaji Okonomiyaki, Green Pepper, and Spicy Crispy Cauliflower.
🍰 We had three delectable desserts to end the lovely meal: chai masala burnt cheesecake, the G'Jam Cake - a Gulab Jamun-inspired cake with saffron syrup and rabri, and the warm fruit salad with a mix of housemade confit fruits and ginger cream.
👌 The service was excellent as always, and the atmosphere was perfect. I highly recommend checking it out!

Great w/non vegan friends - Edit
Wish there were more purely vegan options or ability to make more dishes vegan. But everything we got was delicious. Not enough crackers for the amount of hummus we ordered, would have appreciated more dipping ingredients.

Fantastic food - Edit
Happy to see an all veg restaurant in a hotel. Nice interior and great service. Absolutely loved the khao suey, with a strong coconut curry sauce and loads of vegetables. The dhal was also really good. Only downside is the limited number of vegan options - I couldn't order the set lunch because there isn't a vegan option. Prices are moderately expensive.

Yummy veggie menu - Edit
Everything was really tasty and hit the spot! But it was on the expensive side for what it was and not mind blowing either. Depending on what you order I feel a lot of the vegan dishes could have been replicated easily at home, like the chickpea curry . That being said I always appreciate a veggie/vegan restaurant as they’re relatively slim pickings in Hong Kong!

Plant based up market Indian food - Edit
Most Indian restaurant offer vegetarian and some vegan options as well as purely vegetarian Indian restaurants in HK. That's not hard to find. Although the interior isn't something you want to take your date to or have a romantic dinner. That's why Veda stands out. Not only is it completely vegetarian with some vegan and gluten free options, the interior is beautiful, colorful and modern!
Read moreLunch set is pretty popular with a taste of a few different dishes. The latest one you get a choice of entree and main and comes standard with side dishes and dessert. Used to come with a free drink, now that has been removed. But price is the same.
Also, modern, clean and beauty toilet. Yes toilet is part of the experience.
Limited seating in this Indian restaurant within Ovolo hip hotel chain.
Definitely would recommend this place.
Pros: Modern beautiful Interior , Tasty fusion Indian, vegan cheesecake ! !!
Cons: Small portion, Limited seating

Some vegan options available, mainly a vegetarian indian fusion restaurant - Edit
Nice location, lovely interior, I don't think there are that many nice decor Indian restaurant around. I'm too used to TST traditional no frill indian restaurant, this is a treat!
Read moreI usually go for lunch and that's the best deal. They have European or Eastern Tiffin, aka lunch box. You get to try a lot of different things, so when you come back at night, you can pay more and get the full side portion.
It can get busy during lunch time, and kitchen can be slow, even though it is a set lunch box. Some seats are a bit narrow, definitely opt for the booth sofa seat, more space there.
If you are going for lunch, book in advance, with barely 16 seats at table, and a few more at the bar tables, it gets booked out really fast.
My favourite has to be the misoy ramen, eastern tiffin, and the fig cashew cheesecake.
Pros: Delicious food, Decor, Vegan options
Cons: Slow kitchen, Limited seating, Tight space

Brave, daring and eclectic fusion perfect for veggies. - Edit
Having read all the reviews thus far, we decided to give this place a go.
Read moreIt was easy enough to understand what all the fuss was about. It really is deserving of all the acclaim.
The staff are top professionals with a friendly and efficient manner. The food and drink combination works really well. This is fine dining that captures the essence of south Indian cuisine very well. The Aloo Gobi speaks for itself. The artichoke hummus with corn relish was the most astonishingly original dish of the evening. The Za'atar roasted carrot with kale was up there too.
As there were 3 of us dining we deliberately left enough space for the Cashew fig cheesecake, WOW!
The drinks menu is concise, not overly sizable and well curated.
I was keen to try their New South Wales gin, I wasn't disappointed. My partner chose the Kombucha Spritz, a winner!
Look forward to returning.
Pros: Original, Well curated menus
Cons: Expensive

Eclectic dishes in modern surroundings in central - Edit
Really enjoyed our dining experience here. This place is fairly new - found staff to be friendly, eager to receive feedback, and attentive.
Read moreImpressed with the interesting range of dishes and quality of the food. Many Indian inspired dishes.
For starters, we had:
- paniyaram with coconut and tamarind sauces: so good!!! We didn't know what these would taste like but they sounded interesting (fermented lentil batter made into pan fried balls). Yum.
- Red lentil Dahl with coconut yoghurt: delicious
- hummus: we found it tasted a bit heavy on olive oil
- momos: these weren't vegan so I didn't eat them
- baked aloo gobi: unique take on this dish. I liked it. Unusual to see a baked whole cauliflower creating a soft texture in a mild curry, with crispy potatoes.
- Fig cheesecake (vegan) with caramel sauce: wow. I loved this!! It was bit heavy as it's nut based, sweet, rich and simply delicious. Fairly generous portion...
Pros: Eclectic mix of dishes , Delicious!, Friendly attentive staff
