Been a few times - Edit
The food is tasty but a bit bland, especially the set menu. Portion sizes are really small hence the pricing aspect particularly on the ala carte .It is quite busy so maybe another staff member would be advisable. #Veganuary
Read moreUpdated from previous review on 2025-01-16. Went again today and had the set menu. Really enjoyed it all this time. Set menu was the chickpea and squash pastel. The main was Gnocchi soya bolognaise and dessert horchata of red fruits.Service was better as well.

Amazing! - Edit
Delicious wine and food. We had croquettes, burrata salad (omg, so good). Also had the tiramisu (a little… chewy?) and the cheesecake which it was great.

Decent dinner - Edit
Stopped by our first evening in Madrid. Nice that they are open early. Felt welcomed and staff was helpful and kind. Menu is limited and not necessarily homemade as described in Happy Cow review. Hamburger was clearly a commercial "meat" patty and not homemade. Portions are smaller. Ok flavors but not extraordinary.

Nice vibe, but quite salty - Edit
Great service, nice atmosphere, good menu. Food was a little over-salted for my partner. I’d go back.

Lacks fine tuning - Edit
I was a little bit underwhelmed by my dinner at Vega. Good things first: the location has a homey vibe, the waiter was attentive and kind, the food arrived fast. However, I found the menu to be limited, offering only a total of 7 salty options, of which only 4 were warm dishes, 3 of them mains, one being a hamburger and the other one a pizza.
Read moreI started with the spinach croquettes, they were quite good, to then have the ceviche; the zingy dressing was ok, but the sweet potato was stale and the dish lacked refinement or some addition. It consisted mainly of mushrooms with some raw carrot and zucchini noodles on top, which to me wasn't an accomplished combination neither in flavours nor textures. Maybe their desserts are better, they offered 5, which proportionally are a lot in contrast to the reduced hearty offer. But as they didn't win me over completely, I preferred to skip a last course.

Nice food - Edit
This is a nice restaurant, it is nice to find something besides vegan burgers and fast food in Madrid. I would not say the food is crazy good but it’s nice. You have a la carte and also a 10€ deal, which is great. I loved the croquetas, the burrata was very good as well. Did not like the risotto. I would come back though!

Delicious menu for 10€ - Edit
Went for the menu today at lunch and was completely delighted. Excellent price/quality ratio! Today's menu had a salad (korean style cucumber), a main (soy "schnitzel" with potatoes and mustard sauce), watermelon for dessert, a small basket with bread and lemonade, all for 10€. The environment was relaxed and comfortable, pleasantly cool on a really hot day.

Fuimos un día para cenar y todo estaba estupendo, recomendables sobre todo los postres. El precio es estándar para Madrid y para la zona en la que está no está mal.
