We had the 3-course meal and we really enjoyed our dining experience. Took the beetroot carpaccio as a starter, and it was delicious. I had the shoarma pizza, which was good but was a bit below my expectations, to be honest. It was a bit too loaded (although I should have known, seeing the ingredients on the menu), and it was difficult to tell the flavors apart. But overall, it was still enjoyable. My partner had the truffle pasta, and I wish I had taken it. Took a bite, and it was incredibly tasty!

Vegan pizza bar had a lot of great, interesting menu options. The bitterbalen was fun and it had great vegan pepperoni, which can be hard to find. The crust and toppings are great too. The cheese is a little different—it had a bit of a citrus taste—but overall a great option for pizza dinner.

The pizzas we had were well-made and tasty. The Ferry Verde was our favorite it tastes fresh, the Sala Mommy was also good but had few toppings. The K-Pizza had an interesting flavor. The homemade lemonades wer decent. We had to wait quite long but they apologized and explained at the end. You should reserve, even on a Thursday evening it was full.

They have really good pizza dough and many interesting flavours to choose from (I recommend the garden), all vegan! They also have pasta and lasagne, I could go there every day. There are also gluten free options available. Desserts are great as well!

Had quiet a few gf options, servings are large as well for the price so good value. Gf bases aren't the best possibly just undercooked but def not the worst I've had! I got the big flat mac, it was tasty (if they remove the red sauce it would be better). I'll be back first really filling meal I've found.

Popular Pizza Place, but ..... - Edit
This place is clearly popular. We arrived at opening on a Sunday and were told that all of their tables were booked at 6:30, but if we could be out by 6:15, they did have one table we could sit at. We were hungry after traveling, and excited to have a vegan pizza, so of course we took the table.
Read moreThey had a wide variety of pizzas to choose from, and we ordered a mushroom pizza and a vegetable pizza. We loved that they came out covered with fresh greens, and plentiful toppings. But we were quickly disappointed with the flavor. Or more accurately, the lack of flavor. We couldn't taste the red sauce. We couldn't taste the toppings. We couldn't taste the cheese. And the pizzas were very oily.
We wouldn't recommend this restuarant.
Pros: Nice Atmosphere, Good, crisp but not brittle crust.
Cons: Too much oil on the pizza, Not enough flavor

The carbonara pizza is absolutely fantastic, and the strips with bbq sauce are very tasty too. Definitely order these! Personally, I wasn't a fan of the cheeseburger pizza, but it was still very well made and the pizza dough is delicious! We had takeaway (twice), so I can't comment of the restaurant itself, but the delivery packaging was good quality and everything arrived safely and correctly. I'll be dreaming of that carbonara pizza, until I can return to NL again...

My little sister and I visited Vegan Pizza Bar last year. We didn’t have that much time, so the staff really went the extra mile by preparing the food quickly. They kind of “abandon” you before you order though and don’t check up on you when you’re eating. The bruschetta was pretty standard and the pizza we had was good (but not extraordinary). The gnocchi melanzana, however, really surprised us. Though it didn’t contain that much gnocchi, the flavour was impeccable and I’ve been trying to recreate it ever since. My sister loved her cheesecake and I adored their unique take on tiramisu, but they have changed the recipe & presentation since then so I will have to try the new one soon. I’m thinking of visiting the other location in Rotterdam so I can compare the ambiance.

The food is good and very affordable (E 28,95 for a 3 course menu plus a free drink). I had the beet root carpaccio, pesto pizza and brownie, it was all good and tasty.

No one asked if we wanted new drinks after we emptied our free drinks, we got sauces we hadn’t ordered and didn’t eat from and it took ages to get the correct check (we were charged for the unwanted sauces anyway which wasn’t a very big deal but at first the check was about E 50,- higher than it should be).
There are a lot of over-processed items on the menu (vegan chicken, vegan fish etc products). I am not a big fan of those and I don’t think the place needs it. But it probably helps to attract non-vegans/non-vegetarians so it’s for a good cause😄

My friend had the pizza, which was delicious. I had the truffle pasta which was quite rich, but could've used something like lemon zest to balance the dish. The caesar salad was absolutely delicious and the tiramisu was good too.

Take it from an Italian, these pizzas are better than many in Italy! Of course the toppings are different from those in Italy but that is normal, food aligns itself to the preferences of the population and Dutch people like more condiments than Italians.

As a vegan, being able to choose from an entire menu instead of reading all the ingredients of pizzas in order to find the 3 or 4 that together make a decent pizza, is really heaven! The vegan mozzarella is homemade and I cannot believe how good it is 🤩
I ate here twice during my two weeks stay but hope to come back to the Netherlands soon and eat here again.

Reasonable prices for quality, yummy everything. I'd come back for the (side) Ceasar salad alone! We ordered the Ferry Verde pizza, classic lasagna, insalata side salad, side ceasar and their homemade garlic sauce to dip the crust all for just €40. The lasagna could use some pepper for our personal taste but everything else was super flavorful - salads included. Because we reserved online and it was a Thursday, we also got two free drinks! A draft beer and glass of wine. Ambiance with real candles and soft music added to the atmosphere. Our server Kara was wonderfully friendly, welcoming, positive and checked on us often. She even let my husband taste the IPA because she knew it didn't taste like most other IPAs. She was right and he ordered a different beer! Thank you, Vegan Pizza Bar. You might be my new favorite! So many more pizzas to try!

Vegan Pizza Sub-par - Edit
The staff seemed concerned that we arrived without a reservation even though there were a lot of empty chairs. They did seat us, but then didn't seem concerned with time. We asked for tap water, but were told we couldn't have it unless we ordered drinks, which we didn't understand. I asked how big the pizzas were. The server started to motion with their hands, but then said they couldn't tell us. I asked if one pizza would be enough for two people. The server responded, "It depends how hungry you are." I know it's subjective, but that answer was not helpful at all.
Read moreThe Cae-Side (Caesar salad) was good, but small. It was served in a paper-lined bowl, which made me wonder if they don't wash the bowls.
The server delivered our pizza without plates, so we had to ask for them. The pizzas are not cut, so you have to cut them yourself. I don't know if other people enjoy using a pizza cutter, but I just consider it a chore. The Papa Ronny pizza included tomato sauce, homemade cheese and cheese sauce, p*pperoni, red onion, and spring onions. It was big enough for the two of us, but it wasn't good enough. It was so soft that it was difficult to hold.
Unlike the pizza, the Bangin’ Brownie was great. It was a rich and dark gluten-free chocolate brownie with cookie crumble and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The brownie was more like fudge than cake.
Note: Reservations are recommended.

We liked it so much that we decided to return to the restaurant on our second day in Den Haag (May 3, 2024), but the staff were different and, unfortunately, we had a terrible experience regarding the service (I don't give five stars for this reason).

We ordered starters, main course and deserts. Main course was a pizza, a pasta and a lasagna. Tasty food, fully vegan, great choice, nice location. A little bit more expensive then typical. And we had to wait a bit longer then typical, it was crowded and a new staff was just starting so should be normally faster.

I loved their customer service and the pizza (Korean-style with bechamel sauce)! I arrived without any prior booking, 20 mins before they close. They're super accommodating and told me not to worry about the kitchen shutting down for the day if I wanted to go for a drink and dessert after my main course.
