Comfort food!

Build your own noodle soup. No matter how you choose the outcome will be just as comforting and perhaps a welcome break from the fried food you might’ve been consuming.

Pros: Noodle soups is delicious , Atmosphere, Build your own

Cons: Little confusing for nonchinese

Delicious soup!

After eating several fried meals throughout Taiwan, finding this place was a nice surprise! Fresh, healthy, and flavorful! We enjoyed it so much we came back twice. I like that you can pick your own veggies, protein, and noodles (so much to choose from!). The broth is good as is but then with the added condiments, that takes it to the next level. Don’t be put off by this mall restaurant. If you want a change of pace with something healthy and fresh, give this a try!

Pros: Fresh and flavorful, Healthy , Inexpensive

Cons: In the mall food court with limited seating

Design your own noodle soup

In the basement food court under Taipei 101. Choose your noodle and what ever ingredients you want added. Mock meats, tofu, greens, mushrooms etc. they do the rest. It’s a little bit more expensive than your everyday street vendor noodle but your are paying 101 premium prices. Still very tasty and filling.

Pros: Add what you want , Tasty , Quick.

Cons: A bit pricey compared to other options.

Great concept

Pick your own vegetables and pay for the items you want to add into your soup bowl. Soup was delicious.

Healthy AND delicious??

Yes!! I loaded up my bowl with a million different things and it worked about to about 230 won, which is a good deal where I’m from. You can add condiments to customize your soup but I was happy with it the way it was. Highly recommended.

funny experience

probably the only vegan place in the 101 food court so that alone deserves 5 stars. Very funny experience, good soup, perfect for picky eaters, just grab a bunch of cabbage and they put it into your soup👍🏼

Pros: easy and smart concept, fast and nice, good portion

Unique dining experience!

A cool concept that works as well as your culinary acumen! You design your ramen; I mostly selected the things I didn’t know and it worked out quite well. And for being in an expensive area, paying 330twd for a filling meal feels reasonable. But you can make a decent meal for half that If you are a bit more selective. I suggest sampling the broth at least before you leave the condiment area!

now that is exact my taste. love it!

It’s the only vegan place in a sea of many let’s say other restaurants in the food court of the taipei 101. And I loved it so much that I first had lunch there and later took sth for takeaway to eat at home in the evening, because restaurants are closing quite early in that area.
You can chose from many many ingredients like veggies, mushrooms, tofus, wheat stuff, noodles, salad, fake meat.. and then they cook it fresh and tell you when it’s done via pager.
then you can add sea weed, different sauces, oils, chili etc and enjoy.
I wouldn’t recommend the take away if you have a long way as my soup was everywhere but not on the cup 🤣🤣

Pros: variety of ingredients that you can chose , the taste! , very quickly prepared. all vegan.

Cons: you can’t trust the takeaway cups

Delicious!

Saw these all around the city and I was so glad to have one in the Taipei 101 food court since I was working in the building all week! Very fresh and delicious!

Novel and innovative

This comment addresses the previous comments more than my experience:

To me, this was a vegan Ramen teppanyaki spot. And it's absolutely brought me life. I loved picking out the bags of portioned veggies and grabbing a handful of greens to add to my soup. The end product was one of my favorite meals in a while, and If you complained about the flavor, there are a plethora of toppings and spices to add in.

You barefooted hippies are inflating the enormous barrier to entry vegan restaurants already suffer from. If you don't like plastic, don't consume anything you don't grow. Yall have never worked in a restaurant and it shows

Pros: Quality, Aesthetics, Price

Cons: Cringe vegans complaining about capitalism

Cool idea, but a bit bland

This is a handy place to eat in a pinch - affordable and quick. However, the broth was pretty bland, even after adding a bunch of sauces and topics and they rely heavily on plastic.

Good food but far too much plastic

Quick and filling veggie meal located in a food court at the bottom of Taipei 101.

You choose all your own veggies and protein for the bowl off a shelf and place them in a fabric bag which is taken to the counter where it can be cooekd. This is a nice concept but as others have said there is far too much plastic for one bowl!

Wow!!

This place is awesome!! Really cheap and the food is to die for 😍😍
You can take the ingredients yourself and after they made it into a noodle soup you can spice your soup with a lot of spices.
Really really recommend this place.

Pros: Great food, Cheap, Healthy

Fresh ingredients and tasty

I visited here in 2019 and loved my noodle bowl. You choose and gather what veggies, protein, noodles, spices, and sauce that you want. You then give them to the staff who cooks everything for you. I thought it was delicious.

Handy but too much plastic

Had been up Taipei 101 and was glad this was available to easily get to afterwards (B1 level of 101 Shopping Centre), closes at 9pm but was able to get food at 8.50pm. Had been thinking about the delicious sesame miso sauce since having it at another branch.

It's good, it was nice to try a different noodle and different veg, plus rice balls, but it does seem such a waste of plastic! Customer choice could be done on a notepad or iPad instead!

Fresh and healthy vegetarian noodles

This place was fun! There is lots of plastic packaging as people have noted before, which is a shame, but Taipei seems to be pretty hot on recycling so I'll convince myself that the plastic is recycled...

We both went for ramen by choosing the corresponding metal tag, and then loaded up on tofu, soy meat, vegetables and lots of mushrooms.

The broth had a really nice flavour. I wasn't expecting much given they cook the noodles a bunch of different ways, but it was very refreshing and felt like a healthy dinner. It was about 400 NTD, so about £10 for us both. This was more than we'd paid so far for dinner but still felt pretty good value.

Pros: Fresh ingredients

Cons: Plastic packaging

Why?

I saw the good reviews about this place, and was perfect for me after visiting the sky lounge. It seems to be the only veggie place at Taipei 101. After seeing that every portion of ingredient is packed in a separate bag of plastic I decided against this place. It just doesn’t make sense to cause 4-5 plastic bags waste for just one dish.

Life Saver at Taipei 101 Food Court

Simple but great concept. You pick ingredients like shopping at a grocery and have them cooked upon payment.
You can choose more of the ingredients you like. Just pay for what you pick.

Pros: Simplicity, Range of options, Great taste

Cons: Can get pricey if you don’t watch out.

Comforting bowl of noodles, add your own toppings

Enjoyed shipping for my toppings from their wide selection. Their broth is really comforting. The condiments made everything extra special.

Fun concept, pricy and a lot of plastic packaging

The concept is great, you get to pick all your favourite ingredients and noodles for your vegan noodle soup, but everything is packed in plastic and it's quite pricy as well, compared to other food outside these chic places. Soup was still super satisfying.

Expensive but quick

If you fancy a quick meal and warm soup in winter time, this is the right place to visit. You can pick whatever veggie into your soup,it’s a shame that they use plastic bag on every package on their shelves. The broth is excellent!

Pros: Fresh material , Quick

Cons: Expensive, Too much plastic

Create your own hot pot

You can choose from various fresh ingredients and create your own hot pot. Very yummy and healthy.
Only 4 stars because of the plastic wrapping. Otherwise I would give 5.

Pros: Taste + healthy.

Cons: Ingredients are wrapped in plastic.

Portions Vs price

Pick and choose off a shelf what you want in your meal, and put it in a bag. Bring it to the counter and they make it into a meal. Bowls were huge for price paid. Can get creative with bowl. Limited seating

Pros: Lots of options, Quick service, Creative options

Cons: Limited seating
