What can I say, I visit the Bay Area several times a year from the UK and a visit to Veggie Grill is always on my todo list. It's so great to be able to order anything on the menu and know it's all vegan. While it's not high-end food, it's good quality, super tasty and always hits the spot. I basically eat there as much as I can and have never been disappointed. It just all ends too quickly and I want to try everything.

Read moreI called ahead to order their Far East Bowl ($12) which comes with sesame crusted chick'n over wild rice, broccoli, veggies, and a coconut curry sauce. Wow, I was not expecting the amount of flavor in this one bowl. I loved the roasted vegetables with the incredibly curry sauce, and the soy chick'n they used really reminded me of those chicken katsu days, only way less oily. I loved my bowl, only wishing that there was more food to fill the bowl itself.
Definitely looking forward to returning to try more of their food. Their menu online is a great way to introduce someone to the idea of plant-based living and I am all good for the next trip.

As a chain restaurant, Veggie Grill is a wonderful place for a quick, healthy lunch or snack. They have a good selection of burgers and sandwiches; good selection of appetizers and some excellent bowls.

Read moreI got the Caesar salad with romaine. It was amazing. Pretty pricy. Around $14 when you add chicken bit it was so good I would order again. They use tindle chicken which is some of the best vegan chicken I’ve had. Same chicken as project pollo in Texas but much less greasy.
My husband got the Buffalo chicken sandwich. It was good but there wasn’t a whole lot of Buffalo sauce on it. Sandwich itself was good though. It was $10 for just the sandwich which is super steep. Not worth that price imo
Mac and cheese was a big miss. Had a spice flavor after you swallow it but it really tasted like a bland mush. Was not a fan at all and would definitely not order again. Was over $3- definitely not worth it.
Their strawberry lemonade tastes very fresh and seems like it’s made in house. Has real strawberry pieces in it and is on the sweeter side.
Overall this was a nice stop. Taking one star off for high prices. I will definitely be back for that salad again. Also want to try their special Chinese chicken salad as well. 🥗

The Seattle location has really tasty food and quality is good. This location has super tasteless not so fresh food. The burger tasted like a frozen burger from a superstore. We got the Sonoran bowl which tasted bad as well. Avoid this location

Some dishes are crazy good (seasonal patty melt, seasonal pretzel dog, taco salad) and some are so-so (chicken sandwiches, crab cake). In general it seems expensive for what you get. Download the app for coupons/earning points.

Not sure why people like this place so much. I really love the Kale Caesar but it's 600 calories without any additional add ins, kind of a lot for a kale salad. The fried cauliflower is also pretty good.

The Beyond Burger is a classic. Fries are really good.

We went there for dinner. Everything we had was extremely tasty and flavorful. The staff was really friendly and helpful all the time while we got our food pretty fast. Additionally, the prices are okay for California though.

Late Night Take-Out - Edit
I love all Veggie Grills, but had to give a shout out for the late hours- called in about 30 minutes before closing (10 PM) and they came through! Picked it up, and they were waiting for us! Food was yummy, but it could have been because they were closing and the buffalo wings weren’t as infused with that tasty sauce... I do hope it was a one time thing! I’ll just have to go again to make sure and update this rating as needed.

The Veggie Grill is delicious and beautiful. There is both indoor and outside seating. Located on Santana Row, Veggie Grill is a beautiful restaurant, perfect for people watching or getting the perfect instagram photo. There is a wide variety of food from burgers, to tacos, to sandwiches, to salads, to comfort foods, to desserts. The only downside is that I can’t eat everything. This is a must-eat for an veggiesaurus.
