Visited in September 2024. Great Swedish "meat"balls accompanied with some lovely mash & sauce. Nice little place, welcoming and has a limited but quality menu.

Great Vegoballs - not so great burger - Edit
We went there because we wanted to try the vegoballs and the burger. We can definetly recommend the vegoballs, they taste great. The burger however was not so great. The first time, the burger patty was burned and we asked for another one. This time it was okay, but the taste wasn't that great. You can definitely get better vegan burgers for a better price somewhere else. It's generally very pricy for the size of the portions.

Cons: Patty was burnt and then not that tasty :(, The staff wasn't that attentive

Last minute vegan decision - Edit
My partner and I came here as a last min decision as we were coming to the end of our day in Stockholm and needed sustenance. I had the pasta of the day and my partner had the veg o balls. My word they were exactly what you want for dinner. We were nourished and the vibes of the restaurant were cosy. My partner then had the cheese cake and it was also lovely. And after double checking with the waitress that everything on the menu was indeed vegan, we could fully relax and enjoy the food.

Vegan restaurant in the city centre - Edit
Vegan restaurant in Gamla Stan, the centre of Stockholm. The place itself is small but welcoming, we went there in the afternoon to have a cup of tea and a slice of cake, and were greeted with a huge selection of infusions and teas and 3 different kinds of desserts; we choose vegan cheesecake and chocolate cake (this one had a strong banana flavour, wich I liked). We really enjoyed both. Staff was kind and smiling. I didn’t try their savoury food. Prices were within the range for the area

Vegan Swedish Meatballs! - Edit
The vegoballs were so good. I also don’t think I have ever had mashed potatoes that were as creamy and delicious. 10/10 ⭐️

Excellent swedish meatballs - Edit
Love love loved the swedish meatballs! Was great to partake in such a classic Swedish dish even though it’s so meat-centric. Tasted fantastic. Reasonably priced as well.

Veganes Restaurant & schwed. Meatballs - Edit
#Veganuary

Very very good food - Edit
I went for a late lunch, it was my first meal in Stockholm and I am very satisfied. The vego balls were something of the best I ever ate and the sauce with it as well. Cheesecake tasted great too, waitress was kind.

Swedish-style vegan food - Edit
Liked the vegan take on "traditional" Swedish food. Had to ask if the shrimp toast was actually vegan as the roe/caviar looked real! The whole menu is vegan, including the wines and beers.

Tasty vegan meat rolls - Edit
The restaurant offers the typical vegan “meat”balls with purée, pickles and lingonberry marmalade. The vegan balls are really savory. The price is quite high (20€ for the main plate) but as in most of restaurants in Stockholm & Gamla Stan. The place is cozy and nice.

It was nice, but expensive for what was received - Edit
We went on a day without buffet, so we had mushroom/saur kraut dumplings, shrimp toast, and meatballs.
Read moreAl three dishes were nice, but none were next level. As the restaurant is in the more expensive old town and at a higher price point, I was expecting the food to be a little nice.
I didn’t dislike it, I just felt apathy towards it.
Pros: It was nice
Cons: Not amazing for the price point

A bit expensive, but nice - Edit
I had the burger and though it was perfectly fine, it wasn't up to par with some others I've had (the fries were pretty great though). Maybe some other dishes have a little more personality, so I don't want to be too harsh.

Vegan Baileys does exist. I don't know if they use it here, but it's worth asking.

Could be way cheaper - Edit
I was quite disappointed with my first visit. There was no buffet, so I ordered the vegobullar, which didn't feel worth the price—over 200 kr for bland puree and sauce. My friend got the skagen, and the portion size was almost laughable for what we paid. Overall, it felt like a typical tourist trap in Gamla Stan.
