Das vegane Restaurant „VHY“ von Timo Hildebrand in Stuttgart(ehemaliger Profifussballer) bietet leckere saisonale Menüs und Gerichte zu fairen Preisen. Die Portionen sind mehr als genug gross und sie munden köstlich.

Wir waren kurz vor Weihnachten dort, da gab es zum Hauptgang die Wahl zwischen zwei Gerichten. Es könnten es noch zwei, drei mehr sein. Das Essen kam extrem schnell und war einfach fantastisch! Alles hat so gut geschmeckt.

Wir saßen in einer der "Kabinen", da war es sehr gemütlich. Im vorderen Teil des Restaurants waren die Tische eher eng gestellt und es war recht laut.
Es gibt einen Wickeltisch vor Ort für alle die das brauchen :)

Really good fully vegan restaurant - Edit
We popped in spontaneously on a Sunday evening and got a seat even without a reservation. The four of us ordered the surprise four-course menu and it was very delicious. Even my parents said so, who are not vegan. The dishes were beautifully presented and a good mix of local and international specialties.

Wir hatten das vier-Gänge-Menü, das jeden Tag individuell zusammengestellt wird. Es kostet 39€ pro Person, was recht viel dafür ist, was man letztendlich bekommt. Das Essen war sehr lecker, aber hätte mich für den preis mehr aus den Socken hauen müssen bzw. Aussergewöhnlicher schmecken müssen.

Read moreWir bestellten für zwei Leute das Dreigänge-Überraschungsmenü und durften sogar eine Erdnussallergie und eine Korianderaversion anmerken😅.
Es kamen für jeden Gang jeweils zwei verschiedene Gerichte die geteilt wurden. Uns schmeckten alle Gänge ausgezeichnet. Auf meinen angefügten Fotos sind die Gerichte beschrieben :). Auch die Cocktails waren sehr lecker (ich hatte einen Moscow Mule und einen Quitten Spritz).
Der Service war super nett und auch sehr schnell.
Ja, es war nicht ganz günstig, aber die Ambiente war super schön und für uns hat alles einfach wunderbar gestimmt🫶🏻.

We ordered the three-course surprise menu for two people and were could even notify the kitchen of our peanut allergy and a coriander aversion😅.
For each course, there served us two different dishes, which were meant to be shared. We enjoyed all the courses very much. The dishes are described in my attached photos :). The cocktails were also very tasty (I had a Moscow Mule and a Quince Spritz).
The service was super nice and also very fast.
Yes, it was not quite cheap, but the ambience was super nice and for us everything was just wonderful🫶🏻.

Wir waren zu viert brunchen und es hat uns allen (auch den Nicht-Veganern) sehr gut geschmeckt. Mit 25 Euro ohne Getränke ist es allerdings ein teureres Vergnügen. Die Terrasse außen ist sehr schön.

Wir waren zuletzt vor 1,5 Jahren im vhy und hatten es sehr gut in Erinnerung.

Ich hatte Frikadellen mit Spätzle und Soße, die Portionsgröße war okay, aber ich konnte den Preis bei den Produkten nicht nachvollziehen. Die Spätzle haben geschmeckt wie die abgepackten von Lidl, die Frikadelle war trocken. Gemüse gab es dazu nur wenige Lauchstücke, es war eher Dekoration.
Meine Begleitung hatte das Risotto und war nach 3 Minuten fertig mit der winzigen Portion und weiterhin hungrig für über 18€.
Positiv hervorzuheben ist nur der sehr leckere Nachtisch.

Komplett veganes Restaurant, coole Sache! Die Gerichte sind meist sehr, sehr gut gelungen und ausbalanciert.
Read moreWas mich am Meisten gestört hat sind die unterschiedlichen Portionsgrößen (oder, falls gewünscht, dass man diese nicht drauf schreibt oder man es am Preis erkennen kann). Wir hatten beispielsweise demletzt ein Gericht mit Planted Chicken, da war die Portion super bis fast etwas viel. Parallel dazu hatte jemand Bärlauchknödel und Kraut bestellt und das war im Vergleich zum Chicken höchstens eine Vorspeise. Kleiner Platzer weil die Vorspeise innendrin noch teigig-roh war, hätte es schön gefunden wenn darüber nochmal ein Wort verloren worden wäre.
Das Ambiente ist okay, aber die wackelnden Tische treiben mich in den Wahnsinn.

Tolles veganes Frühstück - Edit
Wir waren abends vor 1,5 Jahren dort, das Essen war gut, teils aber nichts, was nicht zu Hause genauso gelungen wäre ( Pita mit Hummus, Gnocchi mit Gemüse uns Pesto u.a.). Nun hat seitdem aber der Küchenchef gewechselt, die neue Abendkarte können wir noch nicht beurteilen, werden das aber bald nachholen. Seit März 2023 bietet das Vhy nun Frühstück als Buffet an und das war wirklich sehr gut, einzig die zuvor halbierten Brötchen waren etwas trocken, der Rest (verschiedene Aufstriche, vegane Weißwurst mit Kartoffelsalat, Pancakes etc) war echt super!

Finde es toll, dass man auch in Stuttgart eine vegane Küche mit Anspruch findet. Geschmacklich war das gutbürgerliche Essen schon echt gut, gibt aber noch etwas Luft nach oben. Service war top und ich fand es sehr gemütlich.

I loved everything. All the dish I have was very good. I taste the gyoza, that were good not so spicy but I liked the sauce flavour. I taste also the burrata tofu and I really raccomend it. Although you need to order the pita so you will not lose all the liquid. The pita is home made and cost 3 euro. I also take the dessert of the day: mousse with mango and cherry, so good!. Is not cheap but I guess is on the line with Other. The staff is also nice and very happy to help.
