What's not to like at Vida's? - Edit
We were weary travellers heading north through Ohio when, at the last minute, we discovered this amazing establishment. It's located in the very northern-most point of the City of Columbus. It's a small establishment located on a narrow wedge-like lot.
Read moreThe owner was upstairs in the restaurant when we happened in; "meat" production takes place below. He answered all our questions, and was an incredible ambassador for this business.
We ordered The California - a turkey-style sandwich with avocado and plant-based cheese; and a Philly Cheesesteak. The cheesesteak was filled with "meat" slices and housemade mayo and horseradish sauce. I was permitted to switch out the bread option with rye bread.
Everything was delicious.
We enjoyed both sandwiches: they were unique and, did I mention, delicious.

This place is awesome. The main owner/operator (I believe his name is Carl) is always a pleasure to interact with, and the amazing food matches his amazing energy. I’ve been here plenty of times and have had nearly everything on the menu. Some of my favorites on the regular menu include the Philly cheesesteak, the chickpea salad sandwich, the California sandwich, the Reuben, and pretty much any of their sides, such as the macaroni salad and potato salad. I’ve only had delicious things here. However, I think one of the areas they shine the most is their weekend brunch. There is some impressive creativity on display here, but the brunch standout is the stuffed waffle, which you can get with either a sweet (such as blueberry or strawberry) or a savory filling (such as ham and cheese or sausage, egg, and cheese). The best part is that they never stop innovating here; they’ve recently expanded their hours on Saturday and are doing some cool things such as a barbecue night. Haven’t checked this out yet, but definitely looking forward to it. In true deli fashion, they have plenty of vegan meats and cheeses available for purchase directly from the deli case, so you can always get some to use at home later. The only very minor complaint is that there isn’t much indoor seating for larger groups, but I believe additional tables are outside, and for smaller groups, there shouldn’t be a problem. Highly recommend that everyone check this place out, as everything here is excellent.

We've been here a couple times. Mostly a takeout place. Good selection of deli-type foods; sliced "meat", cheeses, soups and sandwiches, etc. I wish I lived closer because I really want to try their Thanksgiving options. If you live in the area, try it for me :)

I was visiting Columbus for a football game and looking for vegan food for our tailgate. From the charcuterie board to the breakfast bowl to the sandwiches; this little gem did not disappoint. The food was incredible.

Vida's is an absolute gem. I get their sandwiches and deli "meat" fairly regularly throughout the year. I have yet to be disappointed! I've also ordered their Thanksgiving meals two years in a row. Fabulous food. The sandwiches are reasonably priced and staff is friendly.

This was my first time visiting Vida's and it happened to be a Saturday late morning so I was able to get brunch! Their stuffed waffles are so unique and so tasty. The vegan sausage is spiced so well. The person working today also made me a new item not yet on the menu which was a hash brown bowl filled with veggies, vegan egg, and vegan sausage - so tasty! There is also vegan faux meat available at the counter, which is unique. May buy some next time.

I have been back a few times since my initial review, and I have been so happy with all of the food! I also did an Easter dinner preorder which was amazing (forgive my photos, I forgot to get pictures before we started eating 😅). The owner is so nice and loves creating new items and trying new recipes. The vegan meats and cheeses are all homemade and have such great flavors and textures. Highly recommend!

I brought my dog to OSU Vet & had a few hours to kill. Found Vida’s on Happy Cow & what a revelation!! I thoroughly enjoyed the Hot Ruben. I’m vegan but it tasted just like the meat version. So delicious! The deli meats in the case looked very appetizing & the service was friendly & prompt. Definitely stop by & try Vida’s Plant Based Butcher if you’re nearby!

Vida's is known for their vegan deli sandwiches and deli items like cold cuts, deli salads, and vegan cheeses, and they have complete holiday meals as well. I really like their sandwiches, the California being my favorite, but their breakfast is where it's at! I had the most delicious blueberry stuffed waffles, sweet potato hash, and a vegan breakfast sandwich. They have some really unique breakfast items. The seating inside is limited but they have a beautiful patio when the weather is nice. Prices are also reasonable.

What an incredible place. The owner makes everything from scratch, I had the chipotle cheddar melt and a potato salad side it was absolutely delicious. I’d drive an hour to eat here it’s that good. Loads of options and super friendly staff. MUST TRY 😋😋😋
