Classy vegan fine dining experience

Village of OM is a classy vegan restaurant with a great vibe. The menu is extensive and the quality of the food is top-notch. I was extremely impressed by the attentive service for our party of five for a birthday. They have wine and interesting, finely crafted cocktails as well.

Major gem

An absolute MUST visit when in the Sac. Already planning a trip to the Sac again just to come here. All of the food was delicious.

Had 5:30pm reservations, arrived, and was seated promptly. We ordered drinks, village spicy fried oyster mushrooms with Korean red sauce, the village rolls (I believe), grilled charred eggplant, and trumpet shitaake bulgogi. We received the fried mushrooms first and it was amazing and cooked to perfection. I wish we would have ordered the bigger size. Dishes I also thoroughly enjoyed were the eggplant dish and the bulgogi. The bulgogi was packed with flavor.

You must come here when visiting.

At first I only saw your insomnia review and I was hoping you had a chance to try more than just cookies while you were in Sac lol. You hit the right place! Love this spot too! 🤤

Tea Leaf Salad Wins!

This is the best tea leaf salad in the area. The sushi rolls are so good! They are not just your basic avocado roll. Plus, the (literal) flaming (sizzling) lions mane is an experience. Would recommend! We will be back and we will be bringing more people.

Pros: Taste, Quality, Ambiance

Cons: None, No, What con?

Lion's Mane and Salmon!

The braised lion's mane was amazing. Great mocktails and the best vegan salmon we've ever had!

Can't wait til they offer more dessert options. This place is great for a date.

Pros: Oshi Salmon Nigiri, The Village Roll (okra, lion's mane, yam), Lychee ginger mocktail

Cons: Need more desserts! Sorbet is depressing

Wow, what a gem!

I ate here for my birthday with my partner and we were SO blown away - this place is a true gem!

Nice ambience with dim lighting, ambient music, and comfortable seating makes for a perfect date night spot! The staff were incredibly attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about the menu.

Onto the food: delicious, inventive, and incredibly flavorful! It’s very rare that we’re impressed by a restaurant meal (underwhelmed far more often than not); from start to finish, this meal was fantastic. We started with the portobello fries, which were nice and crispy and served with a tasty sriracha mayo (quite oily which is to be expected due to frying, so if you’re not keen on excessive oil I’d pass on this). For our mains, we enjoyed the trumpet mushroom nigiri, village roll, and upbeet roll - wowee! The rolls were the standouts of the meal, beautifully presented (especially the village roll!) and incredibly tasty. We enjoyed açaí sorbet with coconut whip for dessert which was a perfect, light ending to our delicious meal. I love that they utilize fungi so heavily on this menu - incredibly versatile and eco-friendly!

TLDR: this place is fantastic and can’t recommend it enough! Looking forward to our next visit.

Pros: 100% vegan, Inventive, unique menu offerings, Great ambience

Your taste buds come alive!

Finally, a vegan place for a special date night. We ordered two sushi rolls, Smokey Vale and Up Beet Roll. Both were amazing. Next visit, we will be ordering the roll that comes in a hickory smoked glass dome. It was impressive looking. We had a main, Grilled Eggplant Mapo Tofu, so flavorful and tasty. And lastly, we had a salad, Burmese Chopped Salad. This was an explosion of so many flavors. Once done, we were both very full.
One thing to note about the food experience here, they bring each dish out at a time, which I loved. I can't say enough positives about this place.

Loved the drinks, the vibe, the meals.

Sim lighting and very intimate spot.

I e had the sushi sampler and from the 5 in the plate, the eggplant was my favorite.

Wow!

We started with a soup that was different than what we've ever had. Then had every roll. We had favorites and each was excellent and creative. And the entree was innovative and got the spot. We ordered too much for 3, so half as much next time.

Pros: Great variety and innovation in both the sushi and, Exceptional atmosphere, Friendly service

Cons: Could add sake to the beverage list, but mixed dri

Upscale Vegan Sushi + More

Upscale fully serviced sushi/Vietnamese restaurant. Unique menu with fresh, delicious combinations. Cocktail menu. Owner mentioned opening soon a roof-top bar and more additions to menu. One-of-a-kind, hope to see this one stick!

Perfect for our 10 year anniversary

By far one of the most comfortable and enjoyable dining experiences. My wife and I came for our 10 year anniversary this evening and couldn't be more impressed with the food, the service and the atmosphere. It was exactly what we were looking for on a night that was so special to us. It was the perfect atmosphere for the occasion. Food was second to none and very large portions! We are vegan and a lot of vegan restaurants have a much more casual vibe that just didn't feel right to mark such a special occasion! So happy to have found Village of OM! A perfect night!

Pros: Excellent Food, Large Portions, Great Service

Delicious; Can't wait to go again

Such a cool place! I loved the food, music, and general vibe. The Smokey Vale roll was my favorite and the clay pot had awesome flavor. The staff were really helpful and the owner is super nice and cool. This place is currently labeled as vegan but I'm pretty sure they offer real egg in the clay pot and maybe other dishes, so just make sure if you're vegan.

Pros: Amazing food, Great atmosphere

AMAZING

They have such unique dishes here, like a chirashi bowl, better meat co garlic lemongrass salad, sushi rolls with unique combos (like tempura trumpet mushroom with green apple and spicy orange sauce; or a roll with okra, roasted yam and grilled lions made with an avocado sauce and fried onion micro greens smoked with hickory wood), a beautiful nigiri menu, delectable mains... I'm so sad I can't eat everything in one visit because it legit all looks so good.

Everything was so good. We even added mapo tofu and pad thai to go when we couldn't eat anymore.

Beautiful interior, we were seated quickly and the whole staff was very nice and attentive. 10/10, will return.

If only I could give 10 stars!!!

This is another restaurant by our local amazing restauranteur Andy Nguyen and while I love his other spots, I think this is the best yet! I went with several other people and we did family style so we could all try multiple items and EVERY SINGLE DISH WAS DELICIOUS! Honestly would happily order every single one again! But if I HAD to pick favorites…I’d go with the village roll and the eggplant mapo tofu mushroom main course. But the portobello fries were also orgasmic! They plan to open the rooftop sushi portion next month (January 2025). Super nice interior so it’s a great date spot. Service was excellent as well. I would give 10 stars if I could! Can’t wait to try more of the menu!

Pros: Amazing flavor , Great service , Parking was plentiful
