Meh

Had not a nice experience here.
I ordered a ginger latte it. The staff told me they use ginger syrup, but it isn’t overly sweet. Just to be sure I ordered it with less syrup and it was still so sweet I couldn’t drink it. 850¥ down the drain …

Upstairs the seating area facing inwards is unique, but I missed tables and I found the concrete quite uncomfortable to sit on.

They do have 2 vegan sweets and a vegan hot dog. After inquiring where they get there hot dog sausages from the staff couldn’t really answer and seemed kinda annoyed by my question.

Also, not their fault, but there were girls making an instagram session. Their shutters were so loud that I couldn’t even enjoy the chill music they played. This place is a famous spot bc it looks artsy. Don’t come here if you want a quiet minute.

Wut in tarnation

Went here because it was the closest coffee shop. The coffee was okay but it feels like if a cult opened a coffee shop. We sat in the weird tree room upstairs and watched someone take staged photos of their ice cream for so long it melted. Just get takeout if you come here. And get the oat milk because the soy milk curdles.

Fine coffee, weird atmosphere

artsy and expensive. Cake was fine, coffee was fine. Forced my friend to buy a drink (even though they got cake) to sit upstairs and look at this weird white tree sitting room.

Pros: 1 vegan cake. Soy milk, oat milk was sold out.

Cons: Expensive, Weird, awkward sitting, Everyone in your party must have a drink

Modern Café and roastery with vegan options

This nice café was a great discovery while in Kyoto. They roast their own coffee, have a great selection of teas and a few items to shop (mainly tea and home goods). They serve the coffee in real cups, not plastic/paper ones.
The staff speaks English, and they have soy milk for your coffee and latte.

Pros: Own roastery, English speaking staff, Real cups / no plastic

Cons: Not many food options
