Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian restaurant next to the tram stop and a few metres from the French border behind the river, in a village near Saarbruecken. The house is decorated in Indian style and offer plenty of seating. Printed menu also is in English. Vegans could get mulligatawny (lentil soup), mix pakora, samosa. onion bhaji, mix-platte (starters, ask for vegan ones). The vegetable biryani and several dishes from the vegetarian section are vegan suitable, but just specify oil instead of butter to be sure. The only bread without dairy is the roti (flat bread with wholemeal flour), and for dessert mango creme. Open Tue-Sun 11:30-14:30, 17:30-23:00.

Good food but place lacks charm - Edit
I had Bhindi (no. 707) with fresh lady´s fingers ("Okraschoten,") which I really liked. The service was friendly and efficient - they managed to serve the food for our group at the same time. Unfortunately, the interior design completely lacks charm and vegan options aren´t labelled on the menu.

Not the best Indian restaurant - Edit
The Welcome is located near the Saar and the Saarbahn. They have outdoor seating, but you can't see the Saar from the restaurant. At the inside there is a loveless mix of every kind of decoration. I had the Mix Plate (116), which consisted only of fried things. And I even have to say that I have already eaten much better Indian fried vegetables and Samosas. Further more I got two dips. The orange dip was good, but the green one was spicy, without any further flavour.
