Excellent selection of vegan matcha drinks (and more) - Edit
Shares same space as Level V Bakery. Excellent selection of match drinks - from high-quality matcha prepared traditionally, to oat milk match lattes, and numerous other matcha drinks and other coffee or Japanese tea drinks. Also - vegan soft serve ice cream. A recommended spot to go in Vancouver.

Amazing matcha! - Edit
They had vegan ube buns! Really nice to try an ube bun since going vegan, next time I'll try the pineapple bun. Ube bun was pretty good! The matcha was excellent. Seating is a bit limited, was quite busy on the weekend. But would love to go back next time we're in Vancouver!

My favourite place - Edit
It has come to my attention that I have never rated or reviewed this place. I have been coming here multiple times a week for about two years. Great matcha, great staff. 10/10

Good food and drinks - Edit
I’ve tried a bunch of things here now - coffee, cookies, mochi, sandwich, matcha latte, savoury breads, pineapple bun. Baked goods in general are delicious! Coffee is only espresso bar, not drip, and coffee and matcha are a bit pricy, but decent. Sandwiches were just ok. Baked goods (sweet or savoury) is where this place shines! I recommend s’mores cookie and pineapple bun!! And the americano is usually very strong and good, but it depends who is working.

Not to be missed - Edit
We stopped at Whisk for matcha and a light breakfast. As luck would have it the annual hot chocolate festival was just wrapping up and the vegan white chocolate oat matcha was still available. First, the presentation was amazing. The drink was gorgeous and came topped with a black sesame whipped topping and a little matcha tart on the side. We also had the hojicha gold which was so smooth and tasty. Food wise we had a matcha croissant which was the best vegan croissant I’ve ever had, and a V Bakery cream puff that was also amazing. Sadly, their vegan soft serve is only available certain days of the week so we missed out on that. We will definitely stop here again the next time we are in Vancouver.

Amazing Matcha - Edit
It has been two weeks since I stopped by here, and I cannot stop thinking about the matcha latte. I ordered my latte directly from the menu with soy milk, and while I am usually an oat milk matcha girl, this drink convinced me to try soy milk more often. The best part about the drink was that it was full of matcha flavor, not muted or bitter like in many places. While I am no matcha expert, Whisk Matcha is hands down the best matcha I have ever had. It pains me that I live so far away. I also ordered a buffalo soya wrap (prepackaged) that was really good.
Read moreThe shop itself was really cute. We took our order to go, but for reference, if you plan to linger, the shop is small. There is also a vegan bakery and soft-serve shop in the same building. The staff were not rude by any means, but they were also not very friendly, so I was unclear about the exact dynamics.

Ice cream was sooo good and must try. My partner said the matcha croissant was good too.

My dream cafe - Edit
I'm biased because I love matcha and pastries and this cafe is the ideal marriage of both for me with so many matcha options and French style pastries with Asian flavors and all vegan! They have hojicha too which is a plus. I had the special which was a takoyaki bun (so good!) And a matcha soy cortado which they will adjust the sweetness for you.
Read moreI didn't even realize before I stopped that they also have vegan soft serve and sandwiches. Would come here all the time if I lived in town.

Matcha galore - Edit
So many different matcha drinks. I've tried most at this point and they're all great- just only wish they weren't so expensive. Soft serve is amazing as well.

Great to have a all-vegan cafe - Edit
A vegan matcha cafe located in the heart of Mount Pleasant, Whisk Matcha Cafe offers a vast variety of tea-focused drinks with freshly baked goods from in-house bakery (Level V Bakery), and recently added oat-based vegan soft serve. Sometimes it's unbelievably vegan because we have BBQ "pork" bun but we use BBQ Jackfruit and Enoki mushrooms as plant protein, and deluxe avocado toast has cheese and coldcuts but they're all vegan!

Cons: limited seating
