Vegan Chinese! - Edit
Ordered takeout last night, and we will definitely be back again! We were visiting Guelph from Ottawa and were so happy to find out that Guelph has a veggie Chinese restaurant! Seems to be all vegan with the exception of cheesecake. The vegan chicken balls were really good, I've never seen them at any other vegan restaurant before! We also tried the wonton soup, chow mein, beef and brocolli, and a curry, everything was great! Portions were large as well.

Convenient take out - Edit
Placed an order while running errands in Guelph. We finished up early and when we called back, they were able to have our order ready faster, no problem. Parking was easy, everything we ordered (sushi, dumplings, buns, fried noodles, veggies) was packaged carefully, and the flavours were great. Will go back whenever we return to Guelph!

Good for vegans - Edit
Ate here recently. Prompt, polite service. Lovely atmosphere, cozy, converted house. Lots of vegan options. Good food, found the portions generous, I had to take a doggy-bag home. Love the tea in glass tea pot. I would definitely return. A bright spot for vegans in Guelph.

Fantastic - Edit
I go every time I’m in Guelph and I always bring friends. The food is delicious and well priced. The ambiance, cozy and warm. It reminds me of eating at vegetarian restaurants in China.

An Absolute Delight - Edit
Our first visit and we will be going back. As vegans, we found that the food quality, presentation and quantity were excellent. We very much enjoyed both the hot & sour and Wonton soup. The curried noodles were spicy and left just the right level of heat in our palates.

Good food, but server was overwhelmed with only a few tables - Edit
l love the fact this place is so vegan friendly, and from the outside looks very cozy as its set in an old detached victorian house. I ordered the dinner combo, and chose the veggie curry. The food was very tasty, and reasonably priced. However, the lady serving us seemed to forget about us, and didn't even give us the dessert or green tea that we ordered as part of the combo. Also...it was freezing cold in there (Shame they didn't turn on the lovely fireplace! )..and they seemed to have a huge water leak with buckets catching water that was dripping through the ceiling. Quite an odd experience.

Cons: Service poor, water leak was unfortunate

I used to really love this place in London. Here in Guelph, i've had just ok meals. The atmosphere is lovely, though.

Enjoyed an early father's day dinner! - Edit
Took the husband and two kids here to dinner while we were passing through. Everything was quite enjoyable. I will give a point form feedback on each dish as it will be easier to read:
Read more- miso soup: my son had this and it was good and a large serving
- wonton soup: The broth was mild and the wonton delicious
- hot 'n sour soup: spicy and yummy!
- bbq buns: yummy but not much in the middle
- mock chicken balls: kids had these, loved them but more breading that I would have cared for
- avocado/cucumber sushi: good but rice heavy. still enjoyed it though!
- kung po chicken: very very yummy! huge portion
- curry chicken (came with potato/tofu/mock chicken/rice): my husband had this and enjoyed it, but I wasn't too fond of the curry
Overall we very much enjoyed our dinner. All that came to $65 w/tax. We had leftovers too! We will definitely go back if we are in Guelph again.
Pros: Excellent selection, Yummy food, Large portions
Cons: Small dining room

our favourite restaurant in Guelph - Edit
We've visited this restaurant several times now, and always enjoyed great food, and helpful and attentive service. The only "problem" we've had, is trying to decide between so many attractive vegetarian options! On our most recent visit, there were a number of new dishes added to the menu, so we had to try some of them. The stir fry yam noodles and veggie fish casserole were delicious, and the tea was also delightful. Whenever we're in Guelph, we try to plan the day around a visit to Zen Gardens.

Not bad for a chain restaurant - Edit
A couple of years ago, I had the opportunity to eat at the London, Ontario branch of this chain of restaurants before I ate at the Guelph branch. On both occassions, the food was very good but I would suggest you not get carried away with the deep fried food since it will leave you with a heavy feeling. Other than that the restaurant serves good vegan food in a pleasant atmosphere. The menu has a good number of items to chose from. We found the restaurant to be very clean and the server was very friendly and helpful. If you like to have a beer with your meal you will have to go elsewhere or have it later since they do not sell alcohol with their meals.
