Amazingly, having lived in vegan heaven - San Francisco, and living now in Paris, I would have to say this is by far the best restaurant in Paris. If you had a salty casoulet, it was a one-time error. I have never been partial to the bordeaux, but wines do vary by bottle and year. I have never seen wait staff or the owner be rude, inattentive or anything but the most pleasant and helpful, even speaking great english to people who will not even try to speak another language themselves.
