I'm so sorry about what happened to you. Unfortunately, this sort of mix-up is all too common in Ottawa, which is quite behind the times in terms of veganism and is not, I believe, representative of Canada. I only feel safe here at vegan or vegan-friendly vegetarian restaurants. If you're here again, I hope you will visit the Astoria, Copper Branch, Pure Kitchen, or Green Door.
