I was raised vegetarian by my mother, but when I got into the public schools I started eating flesh food. For a long part of my life I didn't consider a meal really filling unless it had something dead in it. In the last six months I have cut out all flesh foods and by-products from my diet. Since I stopped eating meat alone, I have lost weight; had increased energy levels; and just felt less anxious, hostile and depressed. I really believe we are what we eat.
