Rich Apple Crisp

    Instructions

    Preheat oven 350F degrees. In a large bowl combine cut butter, oats, muscovado sugar, and flour into really small pea size chunks. Set aside. Chop apples, toss with spices and sugar in a medium bowl. Lightly grease large baking dish, fill with apples, and top with oat mixture. Bake 40-50 minutes, and serve with soy cream while slightly warm.

    Ingredients

    4 large apples (variety works well), chopped
    1/4 cup evaporated cane juice
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    1/4 teaspoon cardomom
    1 cup muscovado brown sugar
    1 cup flour
    1 cup barley oats (or rolled oats)
    1/2 cup butter substitute of choice

      I can't imagine how a half cup of margarine could be healthy for you. Wow. Ok 1/2 cup divided by 4 servings. That's still 1/8 of a cup, that's still a lot. Eek. But otherwise the recipe sounds good.
