Very good, totally satisfied

Small and cozy, nice wooden furniture: I really liked this café. Staff was very kind and spoke English, it was a bit expensive but they serve big portions.
There's quiet a wide variety of food, which is great since it's not that easy eating vegan in Japan, especially as a tourist.
I've had a "cheese burger" and a quinoa salad and they both tasted amazing. Totally satisfied.
Less than 10 min walk from Higashi Shinjuku subway station.

Good variety and reasonably priced いろいろな食べ物、割に安いです。

A short walk from Shinjuku, Ain Soph. Ripple will not be accused of being fast food cheap, but it serves a variety of good quality items that were priced reasonably. A large craft beer was only 700JPY. We tried the burger, chicken sandwich, burrito and nachos. All were good but the chiken sandwich was great. The chiken was a great texture with red cabbage and sauce that accented it well. An enjoyable experience.

Pros: Good variety いろいろな食べ物, Reasonably price 割に安い, Good location いいところ

Ew

I can't fathom why everyone rates this place so high... It's hands down the worst vegan restaurant I've been to. It's hard to screw up so many simple dishes, but they do!

I would say that the breakfast is good though!!!

We ate everything on their menu because it was so close to our apartment. The only thing tolerable to me was the mac n cheese (it was just ok) and the lemonade. Also, breakfast.

For better vegan restaurants in Tokyo, see this post: https://lookingupatthesamestars.com/2017/08/12/vegan-in-tokyo/

Pros: Nice staff, Free water

Cons: Terrible food

Great spot for a quick bite

The restaurant is small and cozy, with friendly staff eager to help and translate if you need help with the language. We got a couple of burgers and the French toast. Everything is vegan.

Pros: All vegan, Reasonable prices, Friendly staff

Cons: A bit small

Great American Style Fast Food

We came here twice on our trip, favorites were the chicken sandwich and the cheeseburger. Falafel and chili cheese fries were yummy too!

Friendly staff, good food!

We had the ripple cheeseburger and the falafel burger with fries. We had vanilla ice cream for dessert. The falafel was incredible, but the ripple burger wasn't our favorite.

The man working the cash register was really friendly and patient when answering questions.

They have a clean bathroom and outlets at every seat. Great if you need a place to rest during your tiring Tokyo trip!

Pros: great taste, variety of choice

Cons: loud blender!, texture of ripple burger

One of the best vegan cheese burgers

My friend recommended this place as it is her favorite place in Tokyo so I had high expectations and I was extremely satisfied with my experience there. I had the vegan cheese burger which was so good I'm sure it will convince even the most hardcore meat lovers out there. The vegan cheese they used didn't have this weird aftertaste some vegan cheeses have so was an absolute delight to my taste buds. Their mac and cheese and their cheesy fries were also phenomenal. I think this is the only place in Japan (other than Vegan Burg Kitchen in Osaka) which makes really amazing grungy, rich vegan junk food that is reminiscent of what you usually get from vegan spots in the States or Europe. My companion tried the burrito which was okay but it didn't compare to the burgers. The cafe is pretty casual and relaxed which makes it a great hangout spot, and its central location also makes it a good option if you are looking for a moderately priced and casual dining experience. Overall I recommend this place if you are visiting Tokyo!

Great staff, wonderful take on traditional American dishes

The burgers here are great! They are probably better than other vegan food in Los Angeles. You must try the French toast. The burgers are great. I loved the cheeseburger and soy chicken burger as well as the chili cheese fries.

The best

We came here twice while in Tokyo. The food is great, maybe a little pricey but the mac and cheese is so far off the chain that even 2 chainz can't handle it.

Pros: delicious, great staff, good atmosphere

Cons: it's western style food (depends how you feel abou

Simple yet delicious

I went there earlier with my father and brother for lunch after visiting the samurai museum which is close by. We had burgers, burrito, fries and waffles with ice cream. I though the burger was really good but not anything about it really stands out except the guac in it, my father really did like it as it fell apart and thought it was rather bland. My brother got the burrito and liked it but thought it was a bit small and brag about. The waffle was super delicious and I also bought ice cream for it which I thought was perfect. We also had the house made iced lemonade which was really good but a bit too sweet. All in all I'm definitely going back once more for the French toast and chicken burger, but my family probably won't 😐
The staff was nice and accommodating though isn't seem to speak the greatest English.
I did think it was on the more expensive side for something I consider fast food.

Pros: Amazing dessert, Tasty food

Cons: On the expensive side

Tasty western vegan food

Woke up nearShinjuku with nowhere nearby to eat and found Ain Soph Ripple. Had a delicious crispy soy chicken burger, and my girlfriend enjoyed her burrito, though it was small by US standards. The mac and cheeze was tasty as well.

Pros: Fully vegan menu

Cons: Not super healthy

Seriously the BEST vegan restaurant ever and my favorite excuse to get back to Tokyo asap! Amazing food (the cheese burger and chicken sandwich are not to be missed) friendly staff, and great atmosphere. Do not miss this gem, truly my new favorite anywhere in the world!

Great Comfort Food

Even though we were only in Tokyo for two weeks, we got homesick. My husband had eaten almost every veggie burger and fry set in town but no ketchup was to be found. Until we went to Ripple. He almost cried eating his falafel burger. I got the small grilled salad and a side of Mac and cheese. The salad was great but the mac and cheese was too rich for me. My husband and I switched sides because he was sick of fries by this point. Mac and cheese tasted like Amy's but was homemade. The premade desserts in the case are just okay, I think it more has to do with how spoiled we are in the US for vegan desserts than the quality of their muffins. I wanted to go the next night but thought that would be weird! All signs are in English and the staff speaks English well. It was mostly a gajin crowd.

Pros: Literally Everything

Cons: None

Delicious

The food was great! The staff was friendly and were willing and able to adapt to my food allergies (tree nuts & peanuts). I had the burrito and loved every bite. My non-veg partner had the chicken burger and mac and cheese and also quite enjoyed it. The space is on the small side and it was packed while we were there (about 5:30 on a Tuesday).

Pros: Excellent food, adapted to allergies, Friendly staff, English menu

Cons: A little expensive , Not enough seating

Soul/comfort food

This place was so cute. Very cute hipster style. Pop punky music playing. The food was amazing. Comfort food is my favorite and hard to find in Japan. Got the chicken cutlet sandwich and my boyfriend got the guac burger. I tried both and loved both but if I had to choose I'd have to say I preferred the chicken cutlet. The slaw on it was fabulous. The Mac and cheese was super cheesy and creamy. Have to say this has probably been my favorite spot in Japan.

Pros: Soul/comfort food done right, Cute atmosphere

Cons: Wish it stayed open latee

Great Vegan Fast Food

I eat here all the time since it is close to where I live and my school. I love vegan food, but I also love junk food every once in a while, and this place satisfies both cravings. It is somewhat pricey, and there prices for drinks are expensive (600 yen+), but if you ignore all that and just get the burgers, it is not too bad. I usually get the falafel burger or the sloppy joe burger that they have here.

Pros: Great vegan, fast food style

Cons: Somewhat expensive

Pros: Ricas hamburguesas

Cons: Muy pequeño, muy básico y menú reducido
