Nice but expensive

The food was very tasty here but it's a bit overpriced for what you get. The dishes are big though and we probably over ordered a bit. Service was good and the location is great.

My favorite food in Singapore

Best Chinese/Asian food in Singapore. The owners are passionate vegans and you can taste the love they put into their food.

Pros: Honey “Chicken”

My favourite vegan Tze char place!

My favourite place to have vegan Tze char and Chinese dishes with family and friends! They serve both vegetarian and vegan options that are clearly stated on the menu. Their marmite pork ribs is very delicious and serves traditional Chinese desserts.

Pros: Cosy , Many options to choose from!

So good I went twice!

Such a great range of options to try from and all the dishes are vege or vegan versions of classic meat dishes. Really liked it!

Not very clearly labeled

The menu just denotes if something contains dairy. So I’m not sure what about egg - do they not use it at all? The waitress told me that everything none-dairy is vegan, but then I spotted honey in other things...so I was a bit hesistant.

I ordered the bamboo pith with bean curd, mostly because I had no idea what bamboo pith was (it’s a mushroom). It was pretty good. I also got two desserts; A date jelly one and taro with coconut milk. Really enjoyed those. Would definitely recommend getting a dessert here.

Luckily I wasn’t charged for any hand towels, still - it is not that cheap here compared to other places in the area.

Just OK.

Had the Avocado wrap with very little Avocado and the “sausage” bun with very little sausage.
The vegan portions are clearly marked on the menu and there is a lot of them.
The opening hours stated here are not true. The place was open even though it was marked closed.

Are you sure you meant to review this restaurant and not Well Dressed Salad? They’re in the same place, but different restaurants, with a different menu and different opening times.

Amazing meal, weird service

Everything we ordered tasted amazing. The menu is a little confusing, there are several pieces for each dish, you can order larger sizes for later parties.

Servers weren't great at answering questions about the food, took forever to get the bill and they always charge you for the towels at the table whether or not you use them.

But the food was good enough I'd go back to try more of the menu when I get the chance.

Pros: Great flavors, Lots of vegan options

Cons: Charged for disposable hand towels, Not cheap

Super friendly staff

Mostly vegan menu. Awesome coffee here and amazing desserts including waffles loaded with incredible home made ice cream. The staff made us feel so welcome and gave us tips for other places to go though we've had to keep coming back here because it's so lovely!!

Also think they may have changed their opening hours to all day as Google and happy cow suggest it is closed at 5 but it is open!

Tasty Chinese Dishes

This restaurant is located near the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Chinatown. It serves an extensive menu of Chinese dishes. Having visited the restuarant multiple times, the standard of the food there is consistently good. However, the portions of the dishes might be quite small and the price is slightly on the higher side. If you are coming in a group, you can order smaller portions and enjoy more variety of the dishes. Overall, it is a very good Chinese vegetarian restaurant.

Pros: Excellent chinese vegetarian dishes, Consistent in quality

Cons: Small portions

Little Treasure

Upstairs restaurant over cafe. Good atmosphere and choice of dishes. Right next to Buddha Tooth Relic Temple (which was unfortunately closed when we arrived). We shared four small dishes, smoked ‘duck’, lime ‘chicken’, abalone mushrooms and sautéed broccoli, plus rice for two people.

Pros: Good choices, Small friendly restaurant , Reasonable prices

Cons: You pay extra for peanuts & towels ($1.20 each)

Great taste but a bit expensive

We ate two delicious vegan "chicken" dishes, the Kung bao and the Honey Lime one with rice and some TeaYin-S
I really recommend it!

Pros: Lots of options

Cons: I don't like when they put peanuts,, For you to eat when you wait for your food, , and Tissues and then you have to pay for it.

So much choice-and clearly labelled

Came here for dinner with a friend after the place was recommended to me. Booking a table was a bit of a challenge but we managed and it was worth it. We found an extensive menu with many items that were new to us like fake mutton, goose, shark fin soup etc. It was difficult to choose but the waitress was patient and helped us out. This would be a good place to come as a group - to share a try a little of many different dishes.
Not all dishes are vegan, all are vegetarian and clearly marked.
The decor is casual, MasterCard accepted.

Pros: So much choice , All veggie , Casual

Cons: Not all vegan , No online booking

One of the best Chinese restaurants!

I love coming here with my friends, and more so with my family, because then I can prove to them that vegan food is also really really delicious! A must buy when you visit is, for mains, ee fu noodles. In fact, it is my friends' "tradition" to purchase this dish first before considering anything else on the menu. At the same time, the marmite chicken is must-buy for those dining out with their non-veg friends. It is super fibrous and flavourful, and in fact my brother did not even figure out it wasn't actual meat! The satay sticks were also super amazing, being just the right level of saltiness and sweetness, and matched perfectly with the sauce which was nutty and slightly spicy at the same time. My friends ate the sauce by the spoonful when I bought them this dish for my birthday dinner.

Pros: Great food, Great service, Flavourful

mock meat haven

Huge menu and the food arrived within minutes which makes one question the freshness. The dishes left us unimpressed - bland, heavy on mock meat and with a burned aftertaste. The monkey head mushroom was particularly disappointing - chewy and tasteless.
I am happy to pay for quality but here I found the prices high for what you get, with extra charges for napkins and tea refill we tried to avoid.
This place is probably good if you are after mock meat. If not - stay away.

Pros: big variety

Cons: pricey, strange extra charges , unhealthy

Too much mock meat

I came here with the hopes to find varieties of real, healthy, unprocessed food. But I was disappointed to find most of the menu offered has mock meat in it. I ordered the pork honey out of curiosity and pair it with the spinach soup.

The pork tastes quite nice actually, not too salty. I'm just curious how healthy these mock meat are for us vegetarians?

The soup, on the other hand was really nice. Huge for a person's portion so I'm very happy about it. The taste itself is humble & simple which is rare for a chinese food.

All in all, I'm giving it thumbsuo for providing us with lots of menu option, but would love to see real ingredients included!

Pros: Wide variety of menu

Cons: Too much mock meat, Quite pricey

CNY Reunion Dinner

Went for Chinese Lunar New Year Reunion Dinner on 26 Jan 2017. Ordered their CNY Reunion Dishes. Food is generally nice, not too oily, not too salty. Serving is small even though we ordered d medium serving. Pricey as it's happens to be festive seasons. A bill of $600 for 14 people. Charged for Napkins used. We had left a few unopened Napkins packs so we reminded d staff to take d unused Napkins price off d tag. They have large tables that can accommodate up to 13 people. It's a 3 storey restaurant situated beside Buddha Relics Temple.

Two visits

HD lunch today and was close to give star. I will come back again in the evening to try again.
had sweet and sour pork, 8 treasure veg and a small portion of satay. all he dishes were great, one of the first times i have left somewhere in Singapore without the taste of oily food.
the menu has no egg and dishes containing dairy are clearly.marked, the vast majority of dishes are vegan.

After our food lunch we went back a couple of evenings later. Expecting an even better experience we left very disappointed. Vermicelli and mock ham noodles were bland and nearly all noodles. Seer and sour was food. Monkey head todu was again bland and very little match to the description on the menu. Mapo.tofu was like none I have ever tasted, it was chopped tofu with chopped veg, really bland and really poor.
Overall this was out most expensive meal in Singapore (50% more expensive); we got the bill and had been charged for the pickled veg and nuts, even the hand towels. Really felt ripped off and one out of two experiences was good, but there is better food close to here, at less than half the price.

The Eighth Wonder

Eight Treasures was by far the best restaurant we experienced during our stay and was so good we decided to visit twice. The food was stunning and beautifully presented with great use of mock meats and tofu and I would say 90% of the dishes available are vegan. We were lucky enough to sample a lot of the menu over our two visits and my personal recommendations would be the crispy lotus root, kung bao monkeyhead mushrooms, sweet and sour fish, seitan satay skewers, sze chuan ma po beancurd and the crispy bee hoon. We also tried the bitter gourd with black bean sauce and although the sauce was amazing, I cannot say I am a fan of bitter gourd. You'll either like it or you won't. Glad I tried it though. Dishes range from $8-12 and I would suggest ordering 5-6 dishes to share. We spent about $75 in total on each visit including drinks. I cannot recommend this place enough, you won't be disappointed.

Pros: Fantastic vegan food, Good prices, Excellent portion sizes

Cons: Charged for napkin use, Vegan dishes not labelled
