I have tried the peanut butter & chocolate cake, the carrot cake, and the oreo cake which were all really great! Very rich and fluffy texture, exactly as any non-vegan cake made with eggs!

5€ a slice, so not the cheapest, but it's worth the money and I would definitely recommend trying something from here, whether you're vegan or not!
Also service was great and they spoke English well.

We ate here a couple of times during our visit to Madrid. The chicken burger I got was 10/10. The loaded fries were a little dry and oily but the toppings were delicious. Coffee and ham and cheese croissant was great. The mojito I tried was tasty but basically only ice in the cup. I will definitely be back to try their pancakes and desserts.

I felt like the cake was too dry for my taste, and the icecream was not very creamy. And I’ve had really good vegan desserts before, so I know it’s not just because it’s vegan. Also, my friend got a quesadilla, but the vegan cheese was not fully melted, and her last piece tasted like the cheese had gone off. Their display is nice, but I personally was not impressed by the quality of the food.

Read moreAs a party of 2 we showed up around 9-9:30 on a Thursday night with no reservations. They were able to sit us right away. There was about 3 other groups in the shop aside from us. The server spoke perfect English and was happy to help us.
We ordered:
Their hot dog is so good! The bun is nice and soft and the taste is perfect. The melted cheese with the crunchy onion bits on it is best. This meal comes with a side of fries that were a bit oily or they needed to change their oil.
Also ordered the ice cream waffle! I was happily surprised that they didn’t use a Belgian style waffle and used a thinner style waffle. You can choose your sauce such as chocolate, fruit, or caramel, and your ice cream. I picked their newest flavor that tastes like a vanilla flavor with chocolate chips mixed in.
Cons: Need to change the fryer oil

Everything here Is vegan and yummy. I've loved the avocado y tomate bread, the croissant with jamón y queso and the sweet One with jam and butter. I ve also tried pancakes and waffles with Oreo, then banana and strawberry. Smoothie and chai latte were ok. #Veganuary

My partner and I visited Freedom Cakes for a breakfast and our experience has been very positive. The customer service was quick, friendly and efficient. The waiter who served us even spoke English! The food was really good too, and we enjoyed the coffee as well.
Read moreAs we didn’t know the size of the portions, we ordered quite a few items in the menu (this was a mistake as portions were, in fact, quite large). We enjoyed the Strawberry & Banana pancake the most, it was really outstanding, but everything else was good too (aside from the tomato toast which was a bit dry). My oat cappuccino was delicious and churros were nice too.
The restaurant looks modern with some cool decorations which is not the case for most restaurants in central Madrid!
Great experience overall and we will definitely go back to Freedom Cakes next time we are in Madrid.
