Thanks Tiggy, there was nothing stating hours in the window either, hopefully they open again soon. It would be helpful if business stated their hours on the app correctly; the same has happened many time all over the world using HC and google to be fair. It's the business that looses out in the end 🙁

My new favourite restaurant - Edit
Loved it here. Food is absolutely delicious. We had gyoza, tofu steak, miso ramen, shoyu ramen and mochi. Couldn't fault any of them and can't wait to come again and try some other dishes. Sasou tea so good too. Service very quick and loved the quirky surroundings. 100% recommend. It is open too now even though the listing here says temporarily closed.

I have eaten at Itadakizen a fair few times over the last 2 years and the food has always been delicious. A particular highlight has to be the bento box as it gives you the chance to try a little bit of lots of tasty dishes. (The menu changes periodically so I don’t think they are always serving this!) If you are feeling particularly hungry then you should definitely go for the chef’s omakase course. The restaurant itself has a very relaxed vibe, especially in the evening. Expect polite and friendly but none intrusive service.

Great find in a great location in Shrewsbury. It was a little empty for a Fri eve but that suited me and my partner well. All the dishes that we ordered were delicious, I particulary enjoyed the green tea tiramisu and the bamboo tea which they make on site.

Incredible food! So brilliant to have a vegan, Japanese restaurant in town. I love the location, building and interior. The staff are friendly, the vibe is relaxed. The set-course menu is good value and I couldn't move afterwards as I was so full! I find it hard to go anywhere else whenever a meal out is suggested.

I am thrilled to have found this gem of a place. The food is phenomenal - right in proportion, amount of oil and salt etc is on point. The restaurant itself is located in a lovely little alleyway in Shrewsbury. The staff are all lovely and THE FOOD is sooo GOOD! So thrilled to be able to eat truly good vegan sushi for the first time in the West Midlands.

I have been to Itadakizen three times in the past few months, and every time I have been amazed at the beautiful presentation and delicious, yet delicate flavours. It really is the best vegan restaurant I have eaten at, for a very long time. Long may they continue in their sterling work.

I went here for my 18th birthday and the food and staff were all incredible! So delicious and so many courses, the value for money was great. Yesterday I started my first shift there as a waitress (obviously I'm now completely bias towards it!) And everyone there is so lovely and takes real pride in their cooking. We should support vegan businesses in Shrewsbury as much as possible so let's really make sure that this one survives.

A non-vegan friend who has been to Japan several times wanted to go here, and it did not disappoint. We all chose platters/boxes which had a good mix of things and the flavours were really good. The presentation was great too. I loved the plum wine! Plus it has vegan desserts. Very central in Shrewsbury, on one of very interesting cobbled streets.
