Delicious small plates - Edit
This was really good, for a second i was suspicious kinda good.
Read moreI got the lemon and spring onion karaage, it was crispy and soft inside, and the “meat” shumai was delicious. Portions are small but since the karaage is fried, i think just a couple plates are enough per person. I wish i could go back a few more times to try everything else.
You order via app and pay at the counter.
The space is small and crowded. Would not go with more than two people max, it’s not the most confortable or beautiful place but the food is that good.
Since it’s in the basement of a mall, it could be a bit tricky to find, but there is a map near the escalator on the basament and I found it quickly after that.

Completely vegan izakaya - Edit
What a rare treat in Japan to be able to choose anything off the menu. We had the gyoza, shumai and karaage- all delicious - and finished off with vegan ice cream.
Read moreIt is hidden away in the basement of the Parco building but still very popular. We had to queue for about 10 mins to get a seat. Well worth the wait. They seem to sell out of items quickly- the first time we went they had already run out of karaage - the signature dish! This time there was no mapo tofu.
Pros: Karaage was juicy and delicious, Very quick service even when busy, All vegan
Cons: Can be busy, Sells out of items quickly

Just get karaage, you won’t regret it. - Edit
Everything was great, but the karaage is standout. We ordered two plates and would have had a third if we could have finished it. Decent strength highballs too. Busy by 18:00 so arrive early. There are other vegan options in the same mall basement space if you get stuck.

Tasty, filling and cheap - Edit
I had karaage teriyaki and chili shrimp. Both were pretty solid and decently priced.
Read moreI got there around 8 pm and a good chunk of their menu was sold out, but they communicated this clearly with a sign at the door and on the website where you place your order.

Man kann kleine bis mittelgroße Portionen bestellen und sich durchprobieren. Alles war lecker, aber vor allem die Karaage waren überragend.

Blown away - Edit
The food was amazing. They took fried food to the next level.
Read moreTheir kaarage was something special.
We particularly also loved their miso soup which you can get with their rice set.
Recommend going early as its a decent wait. We waited around 45mins.
Note: bring your own containers in case u want to take some leftovers to go as they don't provide them

Karaage delight - Edit
Really enjoyed eating here but it is quite fried food heavy. Gyoza were good as was the karaage with tartar 👌the deep friend miatake mushroom starter was ok, but i would skip and have karaage instead.

Delicious - Edit
This is a great little place. It is small and gets busy at lunch so plan accordingly. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was great.

Full Vegan Izakaya - Edit
Located on the basement floor of PARCO, Masaka is a fully vegan izakaya with a lot of options. All of them looked really tasty but we sadly couldn’t taste all of them. We did order a decent amount of dishes and all of them were super delicious and freshly prepared!
Read moreThere are not a lot of seats inside tho so there is a chance you’ll have to wait outside (which luckily didn’t happen to us), but it is definitely worth the wait.
This izakaya doesn’t have a tablet on the table though, but instead you have to scan a qr code to access the menu and order from there, and afterwards you just pay at the register.
Definitely reccomend visiting here for a full vegan izakaya experience, and you can also visit PARCO mall while you’re there!
Pros: Full vegan menu, Friendly staff, Free water refills
Cons: Have to use own phone to order

Amazing Food - Edit
Came here with friends and had an amazing time. All food is prepared fresh and comes to your table piping hot. Especially the Karaage with lemon is absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend coming here, even though you might have to wait for a bit before you get a table.

Best gyoza - Edit
Gyoza had a nice wok hei charred flavour that I prefer over T's restaurant. Siew Mai is also good and meaty. Karage onion yuzu didn't taste great, tastes bland but the Sichuan one packs nice flavour and heat.

Simply amazing - Edit
Smaller sized portions to share so make sure you order a few. Everything we had was stunning. The only regret I have is that I could not try everything. The gyoza and karaage were my highlight.

True izakaya vibe! - Edit
I had heard a lot about izakayas in Japan and was very excited to try a fully vegan one. They have the menu clearly posted on the wall with big pictures to make ordering very easy. We were able to enjoy a few different options and everything was good!

Pretty good - Edit
It was great to have an Izakaya experience with no worries about food. The gyoza, salad and fried veggies were very yummy. The mapo tofu left a little to be desired, and wasn’t spicy at all which was a bit disappointing.
Read moreIt’s in the basement of a very busy mall (Shibuya parco), so the ambiance isn’t necessarily super relaxing.

YUM! - Edit
The spring rolls are huge! I was not expecting them to be that big and could not finish. But they were absolutely delicious. My partner (who is not vegan) ate one and loved it. Fried broccoli- delicious. The mapo tofu/rice was very good but I just prefer firm tofu honestly. The tofu is extremely soft. The flavor and seasoning is great! I got a glass of wine too.
