Favorite spot! - Edit
I'm not sure what I like the most. The friendly people, the yummie (and still healthy-feeling) food or the airy and light space. It's all great, and they even partner up to offer meals and hot drinks to people who can't afford them. I'm a big fan. And for those who care mostly about the meals: the lasagna, the stew and the carrot cake were delightful (and quite filling!). I'll be back.

The shop has offers like cocos aminos, which is actually hard to find in stores and lots of different vegan alternatives like “fish” sauce and broths. Check it out!

Read moreThe food was awesome. We really enjoyed the dishes. You order throuh the website and the staff brings it to your table. We tried the Blueberry pancakes, the kaaskroketjes, the carrot cake and the speculaastaart. All where super tasty and my husband (omnivore) said he thought the kaaskroketjes where the best ever!
For drinks we had the Lavender lemonade, which was really nice and refreshing. And the iced coffee, which was also very nice.

Eerst en vooral, een super gezellige atmosfeer, erg veel licht door de vele ramen én zelf een kleine vegan kookboeken-en kruidenierswinkeltje! Daarnaast ook een handig bestellingssysteem met een app en betaling in-app. Ik had de amandelricotta toast, erg lekker met een goede portie groenten! Vriendin met de club sandwich was ook erg goed! Ook tof dat je de hele dag lang ontbijt / warm kan eten!

Really cute space with lots of natural light and plants. Had a tasty chocolate bun (like a pain au chocolate) and green tea made in a glass diffuser that was perfect - not overbrewed or bitter like so many coffee shops that get it wrong!!

I can't believe that this spot isn't more famous than it is right now, because they really are a huge gamechanger.
If you'd ask me which dish was my favourite so far, I would say the quinoa steak. Or the chicory with cheese & ham. Or the lasagna. Or the tartar. Just pick anything really, it's always the best!

I got a cappuccino, cinnamon roll and the BLT for brunch and it blew me away (total cost was €18). I ordered the ricotta toast to go for my train ride for lunch and it was also out of this world good and came with an excellent kale salad. The best breakfast and lunch I have had in a long time.

Knol & Kool deelt haar ingang met BE O biomarkt in Gent. De ingrediënten zijn lokaal, seizoensgebonden en biologisch. De kaart is klein, maar fijn. De gerechten zijn pareltjes om naar te kijken. We zijn hier per toeval terecht gekomen, maar als we nog eens in Gent zijn, zullen we expres voorbijlopen. Het was druk, waardoor het wat wachten was op onze bestelling, maar de biet tartaar maakte alles goed!😉

The pancakes and french toast tasted good, not amazing though. I also did not feel full afterwards. It would have been nice if maple syrup was offered with the french toast. I feel like the portion could have been bigger. The pancakes were 4 small pancakes. I also tried the cinnamon roll which was delicious, I would go back for the cinnamon rolls! The presentation of the food looks very good and the restaurant decor is modern. To order the food you use a QR code menu.
