Amazing Breakfast

One of the few all-vegan Tokyo restaurants that opens early. Has a great selection of breakfast sandwiches and pancakes.

So many choices and all delicious

I can't believe I had never been here before, so many choices and I already can't wait to go back to try everything else! I haven't had karaage in years and the fried tofu hit the spot!

Teriyaki burger with spicy mayo - yum!

Soooooo good, I got the burger and even tried the lotus chips and the ‘chicken’ fritters!!!!!! So so so good and highly recommended!!!

Pros: Nice menu with variation , Amazing burgers with mayo!, Matcha Japanese ice was to die for!

Cons: Tables were kinda close to each other

Great food

I have eaten fried tofu and tartar wasabi burger, it's cheap and good, the staff super friendly. I didn't have a charger and they have provided one, so I am very happy with them!

Pros: Food, Price

Big portion sizes: beware

Their side dishes are more like main dishes in my opinion, if you can't finish your meal you can ask for takeout box. Lots of things to try out and they have a good balance of sweets, mains, simple dishes and protein based dishes. For food, prices are ok, for drinks, it is a bit expensive.

Everything can be ordered from an ipad with English, Korean and Chinese support.

Exactly what it should be

When you enter KOMEDA is you'll be greeted by friendly staff who show you to a table where you can order from a great selection of lunch items, desserts, and drinks using the tablet provided.

The coffee and desserts were delicious. The potato salad sandwich and the fried soymeat were particular highlights.

So nice that we came back a second time.

Fluffiest toast!

This really cute restaurant has a morning service, where you order coffee and get a toast with it. The toast is covered in vegan butter and you can choose something else with it (vegan Creme cheese or jam). They also have other things like pancakes, which were also good!
You order via a tablet, which you can use in English.

Japanese comfort cafe food made vegan

Really grateful there is a 100% plant based Komeda offering a huge variety of Japanese style cafe sandwiches and desserts. Cafe is also comfortable and suitable for working and hanging out with friends.

Pros: Yummy Japanese cafe comfort food , Friendly staff , Great cafe space for working

Cons: A little pricey

Loved this place

Many menus for breakfast and lunch, I liked the sandwich and teriyaki burger. It's a good amount of food and makes you full after eating them. It's chain restaurants in Japan but plant based Komeda cafe is only here from what I know!

We were so hungry!

This was fantastic. Good serving size compared to many Japanese restaurants and fantastic service. Admittedly, there weren’t many customers while we were there, but they were very attentive filling our water glasses many times (something we find rarely happens here). All of our 4 dishes were great.

Delicious!

We ordered an AvoTeri burger and Tartar Wasabi burger. They were delicious! I wonder how they made the teriyaki sauce for the patty, but it tastes exactly like the sauce of the teriyaki chicken burger from Mos Burger.

The tofu fritters are good too. Crispy and savoury! I guess it can go well with drinks for late night snacks!

Note: The portion is huge for Asian stomachs ^.^

All Vegan Kissa

Had a nice breakfast including coffee and fries. Salad was a bit bland because I did not use the Vinaigrette, but the egg salad was good!

One Phrase - “Soy Ham Cutlet Sandwich”

Seriously, it is so insanely good. Get the soy cutlet sandwich. I am convinced that anyone who doesn’t review this restaurant with the five stars it deserves did not order the right products. It’s honestly some of the best food that I’ve eaten on my trip to Japan, and we made our plans based on various Michelin Star reservations.

750 yen for a latte? A little steep you might think(even though that’s only like $5.35 USD)— but wait! It comes with a huge strip of the most delicious toast that you’ve ever eaten. Definitely try it with the jam or red bean paste.

Also, the donut croissant thing with the ice cream in the middle. Snag yourself one of those. Do that for sure.

Pros: Delicious Food, Friendly Staff, Clean Restaurant

Cons: Isn’t a short walk away from my house in Colorado

Great restaurant

A great 100% vegan restaurant with many options. We especially loved the toast and the sweet and sour soy dish with onion and pepper. Great option in Ginza.

Worst meal I’ve ever had out

Can not understand the score on here. Won’t let me score less than 2. I hate to put down a vegan place but I’ve never had a worse meal out. The fried soy meat with sauce was okay but tartar wasabi and AvoTeri burgers were horrible. The tofu fritters were bland battered tofu but okay with the sauces. My vegan boyfriend just said that the meal made him sad. The burgers didn’t even taste as the menu described and textures very bad

Pros: Vegan, Staff nice

Cons: Terrible ‘food’, Too expensive

It's made to suit a Japanese palate and is aiming to 'veganise' a fairly traditional kissaten founded in the 1960s.
If you go in expecting American style, you might be be disappointed. The burger is literally called 'graceful, beautiful woman' burger, so it's probably aiming for a less intense flavour profile.

beautiful place

this place is so lovely and it’s so pretty inside! we stopped here for breakfast one morning and the pancakes are delicious. the karaage is also quite good and the free toast that comes with the coffee is amazing, so soft and fluffy. it’s hard to find vegan breakfast options in Tokyo and this place was such a welcomed find!!

Great diner style food!

Loved this place. Arrived at lunchtime, got a comfy booth seat and ordered via a screen so had plenty of time to consider the many options! Had an avocado & teriyaki burger with wasabi mayo & chips, a smoothie each and shared some fluffy pancakes with berries for dessert. Came to ¥5740 (still way cheaper for us than U.K. prices). Really delicious and options were interesting, would definitely return. They also had oat milk for coffees which is a bonus in Japan.

Pros: Great for burgers & pancakes , Easy to find (we went to Ginza venue), Friendly & attentive service & comfy booth seats

Amazing must visit!

Love this fully vegan restaurant! Lots of options to chose from. The restaurant itself is lovely and the staff so polite. I ordered sooo much off the menu because I was so excited to try it all. My favourite was definitely the fruit pancakes! Must stop and eat here while in Tokyo.

Pricey, but worth the splash

The food here is incredible. They have a great selection of diner-style options in a spacious and relaxed environment. The tablet ordering took a few minutes to figure out, but we were very happy with the food we received.

Pros: Food options., Food quality., Environment.

Cons: Price.
