Delicious

Absolutely delicious! The mezze's we had and the kebab were fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful too.
Amazing to try vegan food that isn't the typical burger/junk food.
If you're visiting bristol this place is a must try.

Pros: Unique

Amazing!

So much tasty choice, we loved every dish. Between two of us, we had the 4 mezze for £17 - vegan fish cakes; aubergine and split pea stew; spinach balls in a mint sauce and a refreshing salad. We also shared a seitan kebab (£10). For drinks, a rose hot chocolate - absolutely divine. Service was brilliant too! A must visit if visiting Bristol!

Flavour packed large portions

Really flavoursome food, very large portions. Atmosphere is good, decor is nice. Parking not the best but not too bad, and the service overall was great so no real reason not to score it 5/5!

Pros: All vegan options, Large portions, Quick friendly service

Cons: Not the cheapest eatery, Garlic breath is likely afterwards 😂, Parking not the best

Cut Some Rug

Delicious Persian food in the quaint vegan friendly Montpelier area of Bristol (did they not win the French title once?) So many mezze dishes to choose from. We went for hummus, falafel, fish cakes, Persian potatoes (quite like Bombay potatoes but more fragrant), gheymeh Persian stew, fries and bread. Downstairs was far too bright so it was with such relief that we were taken upstairs where is was much darker and more relaxed. All that food and we didn’t even scratch the surface of the full menu.

Pros: Great food

Real persian food!

I really can’t fault the food here. Every side dish was packed with flavour and tasted super unique. The harissa flatbread was amazing!
It won’t be to everyone’s taste, but for people wanting to try somewhere a little different, Koocha Mezze Bar is a great option.

It was alright

Had the Doner kebab, Kotlet kebab and a hot chocolate.

The hot chocolate was interesting, they put actual pieces of dark chocolate in the drink....you end up with lumps of slightly melted 70% dark chocolate (or even darker?); idk, if you like that then you'll like this. Personally, if you're gonna surprise people with that then you might want to add some sort of marshmallow or whip cream to balance out the bitterness - 1.5/ 5

The Kotlet kebab was great, loved the slight crispiness of the outside, the chilli and tzatziki sauce on it was good, lovely taste and texture overall. The bed of rice was good at first, but because there was quite a bit of it, you soon realise that it is quite dry and soon got hard to swallow when there's no more Kotlets left. All in all, flavours were monotone, some form of side salad would have broken down the rice more - 3/ 5

Doner kebab tasted good, loved the fresh onions and other veggies in there, tasty seitan. The Barbari bread was very thin and crispy, it was like eating air almost. I think a bread with a bit more width would be better. More chilli spice would have been nice too - 4.5/ 5

Wonderfully atmospheric place in Montpelier

Great venue on the main road, with on road parking nearby. Great service with original food. We had a mix of 6 mezze a local pale ale for me and a red wine for my wife. The eggless kookoo was so tasty. The artichoke dip was unbelievably creamy and the Gaymeh I would have more of. The flat breads seemed to be fresh out of the oven and were themselves wondrously light. If we lived clower, we would eat there regularly

Pros: Friendly service, Tasty food, Lively

Mezze magic.

We had 8 dishes and a bread between two of us. A range of dips, salads, falafels etc. Also a bread which was just about enough for a chap who eats a lot and his partner who doesn’t eat as much. Great flavours which used a lot of mint and pomegranate. Luckily I like mint and pomegranate to a degree. Nice vibe in restaurant and I even managed to park for free on a Saturday opposite the restaurant. Dessert was extremely good, a saffron cheesecake accompanied by a rose hot chocolate which was equally great.

Pros: Good range of dishes, Great cheesecake

Heaven

My favourite vegan restaurant. Nothing else like it. We had such a great time. So many options on the menu and all the ones we tried were delicious. When you eat this food you will understand why it’s so popular. The place has been packed every time I’ve been and I totally get why. It’s bright, colourful and just makes you happy. Such good value for money too. Plus don’t get me started on the cocktails! The apple crumble cocktail is what dreams are made of. Highly recommend.

Pros: Food, cocktails, friendly staff, great location

Cons: Honestly can’t fault this place. They’ve nailed it

Perfection

We have been a few times and have always loved it here but some how it’s even better now then before. The new venue is ridiculously beautiful and stylish. The new menu is unbelievable varied and tasty. I had the new chicken kebab which was the best thing I have eaten in a long time. My 9 year old son had the saffron and tahini kebabs and he literally demolished them. My friend opted for Mezze which we shared and every dish was different, unusual and absolutely delicious! The staff were also really friendly. This place has such a nice vibe. I could literally eat here everyday.

Pros: Amazing food , Friendly service , Wonderful ambiance

Cons: Nothing this place is perfection

Great potential

We had high hopes for this, however the service was terrible. We were outright ignored on entry and then seated next to a phone that rang none stop. The glasses provided with the water were dirty and drinks took a while to arrive. I ordered the chicken kebab and it just tasted like this isn't chicken and nothing else. We ordered baklava to finish which took 10 minutes to arrive and was clearly defrosted.

Pros: Lots of options , Good pricing

Cons: Poor service, Good was subpar

Fantastic Persian mezze. All vegan. Now in bigger premises with a bigger menu.

A must for any vegan visiting Bristol

Koocha is one of the best vegan restaurant you can find in Bristol. Some great vegan takes on some good comfort eats such as kebabs, chilli fries, Hot dogs and a good range of mezze style food. There's a good range of vegan deserts and beers as well, highly recommended.

Pros: Everything is vegan

Tasty Vegan Food

Really enjoyed the food at Kooch Mexza. The menu wasn’t as vast as I’d hoped, I was expecting more of a Mezze but for £4.00 for each dish, this was quite a lot. Instead I went for the doner kebab and chips and my husband had the falafel burger. Mine was a huge meal and took some finishing but it was very tasty. Nothing liked I’d tried before. The service was quick and friendly enough.

Pros: 100% vegan, Tasty, Good atmosphere

Cons: Expensive

Such good food!

We went here last week and it was super busy but managed to get a table outside. We had the doner kebab and special fries and my husband had the loaded doner fries. The seitan used for the doner meat was tender and tasty and the portions large. My daughter proclaimed it one of the nicest meals we had had! Well worth a trip- vegan or not.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Large portions
