Excellent pastries - Edit
We came here for breakfast and bought a croissant, pain au chocolats and pain aux raisins. I also had a black coffee. We sat in as there was a table. The escargot aux raisins was perfect. Everything was fresh. Very reasonably priced breakfast and really nice. They look to have some delicious cakes too. This is an incredible bakery chain, I love it.

Wide and super delicious selection of pastries from croissants and pain au chocolate to tartellette and buchette. Also, wide selections of bread! Cannot express how excellent and delicious this place is! The pain au chocolate was amazing!

Located on a corner near our hotel, we went here every day of our vacation to get vegan croissants or other baked goods and lattes for breakfast. Very friendly staff.

Best bakery ever - Edit
To give you an idea - even though I knew the place was vegan, when we came in for the first time and saw all the deserts, we had to check the ingredients, since we couldn't believe you can make all this stuff vegan. The best part - when we tried them, they are even better than the non-vegan versions. The only disappointment - the croissants are actually somewhat "bready" and not with that typical French croissant texture, but closer to the Italian type of croissants. However, all the other bakeries make up for that - especially the roll with the raisins! And to top it off - probably the best coffee I have ever had!

Best vegan bakery in Paris - Edit
Had so many delicious vegan options that we went back twice during our trip in Paris. The first time I got meringue, croissant and an eton mess type dessert and a club mimosa sandwich for the next day whilst visiting the Louvre. Then next time I tried the broccoli quiche, which is the best vegan quiche I've had and an iced oat latte, as well as some tasty cakes. And finally a baguette for the waiting at the airport home

Can’t get enough of this place, we’ve been every single day during our trip to Paris! Incredible pastries and other treats, 11/10 🤎 My non-vegan boyfriend said the sandwich was the best he’s ever had. Wish we had this in the UK!

Severely over-rated. Bof! - Edit
I was so excited to try Land & Monkeys but I had a pretty lousy experience. My partner and I ordered a lentil salad and a Croque Monsieur to share for lunch. The staff was pretty unfriendly (barking orders, not willing to answer questions) even though it was not crowded - it almost seemed as though they assumed we would create problems. For example, when we ordered our lunch they also wanted to know what pastries we wanted, but we wanted to come back and order those after we had eaten. Even as I tried to explain (first in French, then in English) the server kept repeating, without listening, “What pastry?!”
Read moreThen, the food was bad. I mean bad - so bad we didn’t eat it. The salad was stone cold and tasted odd, like it had been sitting out for a long time. Nothing had any flavor. The croque monsieur was better but not by much. I was at least able to pick out the smoked tofu. But the bread was soft instead of toasted, the sandwich was cold (they tossed it in a microwave for about 10 seconds), the cheese wasn’t melted and everything was just gummy. It was spread with something really unappetizing that can only be described as paste-like.
But we assumed maybe it was just that we ordered the wrong things, so I went back to try a croissant. It was…. Fine but uninspired. Honestly the ones from Whole Foods are better, and those aren’t that great. It was very dry and not very flaky. Just kind of a bummer.
We chatted with someone we met sitting outside for a bit and she was also disappointed with the sandwich she had gotten. Based on all of this, I decided to not bother with a patisserie.
This place could be good. The pastries looked wonderful but then again so did the other things we ordered. But either things are so over-rated and mass-produced that there’s little quality control, or we somehow managed to just pick the only four bad things on a giant menu. I guess it’s possible but I won’t be back to try again considering how unpleasant the experience and service were (nobody even asked why we were dropping off our plates with the food uneaten!). When compared to the amazing experience I had at Zoï in Lyon, and with the many non-vegan places offering a handful of vegan pastries throughout Paris, Land & Monkeys just doesn’t do it.
Sorry to pan a vegan business but I just do not get the hype. What a bummer. C’est nul.

What do vegans eat in Paris? Cake of course. We higly recommend you take your coffee break here. If you need to pick just one treat, try the lemon-marengue tartelette. 👌

What can I say?
Read moreSuperlative vegan bakery, selling bread, patisserie and savoury food.
Four days in Paris and four visits. Sit in and have croissants, pain au chocolat and coffee for breakfast. Choose a sandwich and a cake to take for your lunch. All the food was exquisite and exactly what you want from a French bakery.
The staff are lovely, albeit very busy as there is a constant stream of people coming in.
They let their oven rest one day a week and therefore had no fresh baguettes on Tuesday while we were there, but plenty of other stuff.
Pros: Everything is vegan, Top quality, Friendly

Rude service, no bathroom, dry food - Edit
The staff was rude, no bathroom for paying customers, and the food was dry. They dont heat up the sandwiches or pastries for you. With all the competition for vegan restaurants and patisseries in paris youd think theyd be better. You’re better off elsewhere.

An all-vegan boulangerie you can have no doubts on! Absolutely recommended. We had a rich sweet breakfast with pain au chocolat and pain aux raisins, soy caffellatte, espresso coffee, as well as a rich cinnamon roll. The cakes in the window seem also fantastic, we’ll definitely come again.
