Never in my life have I returned a dish - until today. We were greeted nicely after entering, however that's where the positives end. The person serving us was rude (ignoring our attempts to ask questions, kept repeating "Wait" to all our inquiries - we wanted to order additional items and move our seats because we were cold sitting right next to a fan). Main dishes arrived before the starter did, but we decided to keep both not to make a fuss. As a main, I ordered the Thai Special ("Vegetables with rice, seitan, spring rolls"). Unfortunately, what I got was more like a risotto (cooked rice mixed with frozen peas, carrots and other finely chopped vegetables), cut soy(?) sausage and two spring rolls (those were the only good part). No Thai spices or ingredients, the overall dish felt more like a reasonably cheap, underseasoned Chinese takeaway. I was so unhappy that for the first time ever I decided to return my dish. To my surprise, none of the staff were willing to talk to me, our waiter wouldn't listen to my complaint and only ordered me not to stand in the way, then ignored me. The other staff members were ignoring me too for what must have been at least 10 minutes of me desperately trying to talk to them. Finally, somebody new approached me and said: "You had me called?". This person turned out to be the chef (who I did not have called, all I wanted was for any one member of the floor staff to communicate with me). I explained my situation to the chef, to which he replied he only follows the recipe. Then our original waiter came, stood between me and the chef with his back to me, they spoke in Serbian and then the chef left. Then I was ignored again. In the end I gave up, put my plate on the bartop and went back to my table. Thank god, I was not charged for my dish. I don't know what happened. Other reviews seemed great, the interior of the restaurant is wonderful. My friend's food was average, wine was great. Staff behaviour, however, was absolutely shocking. I will not be going back and sadly, I cannot recommend Mayka to anyone.
