If you’re in the mood for Mac and cheese, fries, or burgers, this is the spot. Very hip. Good music but good volume too (not loud). Staff very friendly and laid back. Good vibes. Mac and cheese was very good and they were able to put chicken on it without the buffalo sauce. Would have tried the fries too but wasn’t hungry enough. Very much wanted to try the fried Mac and cheese balls but couldn’t justify it with already getting the Mac and cheese 😭. Ordered the fried cheesecake too. They are out of ice cream so they put whipped cream on it😄they have board games and card games to play while you wait for your food. Cheesecake would have been much better if it was not fried. But if you like fried ice cream you’ll like it.

I decided to change things up and veer off the usual pre-gig food spots, landing at this cozy bar just off the Meadows. It’s a great place where you could easily stop by for a couple of pints any time.
Read moreFor food, I went with the mac and cheese with bacon bits and the loaded katsu fries, thanks to an enthusiastic upsell from the bar staff. In hindsight, it was probably more food than I needed!
The katsu fries were solid—well presented and tasty—but they didn’t quite hit the “dirty fries” mark for me. A bit more curry sauce would have done the trick. As for the mac and cheese, it was decent overall, with good flavor, but it lacked the creamy richness I was hoping for; at times, it felt more like plain macaroni.
All in all, it’s a great option if you’re into junk food. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving something indulgent.

Cosy wee pub and excellent food - Macaroni cheese was to die for and the kebab fries were amazing, not something I've seen in a lot of places. Partner had the rabbit burger which he said was brilliant - will 100% be back!!

Rabbit Food have taken over the entire pub so now it is all vegan. The food is tasty and big portions. Lovely atmosphere and a good selection of burgers and macaroni. Vegan milkshakes and cocktails Staff are also really friendly. If your after healthy wholefoods this isn't your place but definitely not to be missed if you want a junk food hit.

Read moreTheir burger patties are packed with flavour. I don't know how they do it. I love the Rabbit The Bruce burger which is loaded with a patty, hash brown, haggis, caramelised onions and their sauce.
I am going to be adventurous and try a different one next time.
Their fried balls (baws) are so good. It's deep fried naughtiness at its best.
Filthy dirty goodness. Yum.
Pros: This is a fun menu with cool names for food, It's so filling. , I can't tell you how good these burgers are.

Best vegan burger I’ve had, even the cheese tastes good, I’ve had the baby got Mac loads in my student accommodation but I went to try at the bar and tried their new special F#ck Mondays and was fab and so filling. Even though it’s vegan it gives juicy meaty flavour kind off. I would highly recommend to anyone!!

We really enjoyed our evening here! The pub is really lovely, cosy atmosphere. We had The Rabbit and the Rabbit the Bruce burger with chips and then shared some Mac n Cheeze balls, everything was so good! Really tasty! Eaten my way round Edinburgh a few times but this is THE best food here I’ve ever had. Great vegan pub with cool vibe, fab cocktails, and phenomenal food. Hung out all afternoon before heading for train home. Didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back!

Visiting Edinburgh and I was very excited to try this. I got Deliveroo to bring it to my friends flat because it's at the other side of the city but it was still warm when it got here! I didn't get any pictures this time, it didn't last long once I got it out of the bag 😂

Mac baws were a good size, perfectly crunchy filled with delicious mac n cheese. The pasta inside was coated in a delicious cheesy sauce and paired with two sauces. I didn't like the sauces, but the baws on their own were not too dry without them.
I was thoroughly impressed and I can only imagine it would be better eating in! Next time I'm in Edinburgh I will definitely be back

The most delicious and scrumptious comfort food served in a cozy Scottish bar. We ordered the Baby Got Mac burger, the Buffalo Soldier sandwich, and chili cheese fries. I'd been stalking their Instagram for the past 3 months prior to our trip from the US, so it was exciting to finally try it. It surpassed all the drool-worthy posts. It was also dog friendly. 🎉

Read moreThe food has just enough going on to set it apart from other similar offerings. The rabbit burger was very tasty. The katsu sauce in katsu loaded fries wasn't very flavourful at all but they absolutely covered it in coriander which kinda made up for it.
The deep fried mars bar is bad, but I guess I didn't expect it to be good? I only ate one to say I ate one - at the end of the day it's just not ever going to be a good idea.
I'd definitely go back here and try the other options. They do craffles (croissant waffles) which looked interesting. I'd probably have the rabbit burger again and maybe one of the other loaded fries.

I was very excited about trying Rabbit Food after seeing it on Instagram for a while, my expectations were definitely met!

Everything was freshly made, hot and full of flavour.
I loved the chickn tenders which we decided to cover in buffalo sauce - this worked so well especially with the dipping sauce it came with!
The burger was meaty and worked so well with all its toppings🤤
The seitan on top of the loaded fries was incredible - it was salty and was perfect with the sauces!

The food here is fantastic, and definitely hit the spot. I had the mac and cheese with bacon, which was creamy and delicious. My partner had the nacho man randy savage burger, which she really enjoyed as well. We shared a portion of chilli fries and one of buffalo chicken fries, along with some haggis baws. It was so much food, but we wanted to try as much as we could manage. I'm glad we did as it was all incredible. The buffalo chicken fries being my favourite out of it all. Would definitely recommend if you're in Edinburgh and needing some great junk food.
