Currently not operating, 2F on the location listed is a standard sushi joint

Writing this review to say as of late August, this place isn't open yet - which is hard to find out unless you go up to the address listed, 2F and talk to the sushi chef and get laughed at by the idea of vegan sushi.

No review otherwise, unsure as of when or where it will open in Roppongi.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and I’m sorry for the confusion during our relocation.

At the time of your visit, Nirai was in the process of relocating from Hiroshima to Roppongi and had not yet reopened. We are scheduled to reopen on August 29, 2026, operating from a shared restaurant space in Roppongi.

Nirai is a 100% vegan sushi restaurant. All of our food is completely plant-based, and no animal products are used.

I’m also sorry that your interaction with the sushi chef left you with the impression that vegan sushi was being laughed at. This was certainly not our intention.

We hope you will consider visiting us after our reopening and experiencing our food for yourself.
