Wer die traditionelle japanische Küche in einem abgedrehten Ambiente sucht, der wird es hier finden. Das Essen war super lecker! Selbstbedienung bei den Getränken und ein unbeschreiblich tolles Haus mit alternativem Charakter. Hier essen macht wirklich Spaß und ich würde 5 Sterne vergeben, wenn ich könnte. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Would put 5 stars but it won’t let me because it’s not fully vegetarian/vegan. Has a totally separate vegan & vegetarian menu with many options! Run by one person, Shiho, who is incredible and sweet😄drinks are only 200 ¥, peanuts are free, and food is very reasonably priced. Amazing atmosphere and decorations!

Delicious food, an amazingly decorated place, good vibes, fun, a happy experience!! Definitely a must! They have the traditional pancake with vegetables here that I wanted to try. The place is super inclusive for vegans and glutenfree people as well (even cross contamination proof and she checks double dietary restrictions very clearly: "egg okay?" When my non vegan friends ordered). Eating in one of the many interesting rooms, we had a fun time, enjoying the food, the atmosphere and all the decorations in the place. The owner was kind, energetic and a very good cook! Making your own drinks is also very fun. The next day I also went to the other OKO place where they have 2 other traditional dishes, that place is 100% vegan. I recommend going to both places to taste all three local dishes!

Best okonomiyaki in Osaka 💚 - Edit
The owner was lovely and she made the best okonomiyaki ever 💚 Portions are huge and there's a cheap self-service bar. You can order in English too. The atmosphere is unique. The ordering system was a bit confusing at first and there was already some line a while after it opened but don't let it get you down. This place is worth the wait and the food was ready quite fast. There's also some meat options that made it easier to lure my omnivore friends inside.

Its unbelievable how someone can run a complete restaurant on their own. The food is amazing and the portions are huge. I had a large okonomiyaki and that’s food for a week haha.

I chose vegan gyozas and later took okonyamaki to go. Both foods were super good, vibes in the restaurant were super cozy and unique and the owner had great energy. Would come here again!

Shiho-san is running this cool restaurant all by herself and serves delicious food for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. We were in Osaka only 1 night and could not dream of a better food experience. I loved the vegan Gyozas and vegetarian Okonomiyaki ❤️

Love this place! I was excited to try vegan okonomiyaki, but enjoyed the vibe even more. Such a cool little restaurant. Shiho who runs the place single-handedly is awesome. Expect to queue, but she gets through the orders pretty quick. Plus you can grab your drink (self-service) while you're waiting.

Incredible food and the most fun atmosphere ever! Shiho runs the whole place alone and the food was so yummy. Self serve bar for $2 a drink is so much fun. Go to the cave underground the vibes are so fun. Can’t give 5 stars on the app since not fully vegan restaurant but totally would.

The food was very average- we wanted to try both vegan and non veg okominyaki but that turned out to be 85-90% just cabbage in both cases-we were really expecting things beyond cabbage! We couldn't finish both the items and the first time in Japan we actually left our food to be disposed of - which made us sad! Maybe will try okominyaki in another shop next time, coz they showed more variety if fillings in them!

We visited in 2024 and made SURE to come back this trip again. She's moved venues and this new place is awesome! Has cool options for seating, the line is indoors when you have to wait, Shiho has signs up with lots of cool info, etc. The vibes are so good and the food is even better! We had vegan gyoza, Yakisoba and okonomiyaki and all of them were amazing!! 200 yen for a drink and you can make anything you want from the drink area. Will be going back before we leave Osaka for sure!

Your place for okonomyaki fix - Edit
I arrived there at opening time and there was a sizeable queue there already. Apparently, the queue was so long the night before that the nearby shops started complaining about it disturbing their business. So they’re got a guard managing a queue. I ended up waiting 2 hours for my turn.
Read moreWas it worth the wait? Well, I cannot say that the okonomyaki was world-changing, but I don’t know where I can get a vegan one, and it’s Osakas speciality. It was tasty and filling, absolutely not greasy. The kimchi was great as well with a nice zap. I did like the food here, but if you don’t want to wait, you can try takoyaki at their sister shop two blocks over. They didn’t have the queue, and the takoyakis are tasty!

This place deserve a stop just for the vibe and the amazing work Shiho chan does. The location has a super friendly atmosphere, the food is cheap and good! I got the vegan okonomiyaki with vegan cheese and mayo plus the tofu. Amazing!

Expect A Wait - Edit
Arrived at 8:50pm expecting the rush hour to be over. The line to order was to the door (So you know, expect at least an hour wait at that point), but we saw a sign saying only 10 minutes so we persisted. We slowly progressed through the line thinking it wouldn’t take too long. We then realised only 1 person was serving, cooking and cleaning. By that point we were too far in to leave. Admittedly the vibe was cool and you are entitled to a free drink if you wait over 20 mins… which helped.
Read moreWhen we finally got to order, unlike others, we had our order ready (had an hour to prepare). Once ordered the food was relatively quick to come out and the food was phenomenal! Vegan, nutritious and a massive portion. The large feeds two people easily.
However, no food is worth over an hour wait standing in line, so I have to leave an average review. Hats off to Shiho for her efforts, she was lovely and doing her best.
Final advice would be to avoid the busy periods if you don’t like to wait, and FFS have your order ready. Half the wait is people uhming and ahing about their order and making stupid requests. Just read the room.
