Fresh healthy and happy food - Edit
This restaurant is a stone's throw from Lotte world, it's small and cozy, the owner/chef is kind and smiling, plus her English is perfect so no risks of getting lost in translation here.
Read moreThe food is excellent, creative and I loved that all the dishes we had were colorful and full of herbs and green.
We shared a focaccia as starter which came with olive and balsamic vinegar to dip (happiness!).
I had the cheese sandwich, which came with a green salad (great dressing). Let's just say I could eat that sandwich every day!
The potato salad was very good, unusually in a green dressing.
My husband had a rice dish with lentils and aubergine, again very good although we thought the aubergine could have been cooked a little longer.
We then had one of the best dessert we've had: a very original take on an apple crumble, with layers os banana bread, warm apple compote, banana ice cream and crumble pieces, all topped with a swirl of whipped cream. This was such a surprise, very clever mix of ingredients, I hope everyone tries it, it's heaven!
Let's not forget a wonderfully fresh rosemary lemonade.
This place is totally worth a visit.
Pros: Very colourful delicious menu, The apple crumble
Cons: No toilets

Freaking good - Edit
Went there today with my family and was kinda disappointed they dud not want to eat Korean food but in the end it was worth it!!! I could try 5 different dishes because we all shared the meals and they kept getting better and better!! Also cool combinations like apple and lentils. This western food tasted much better than it could ever taste in Europe. We were also told that the cook has finished her training in the US.

What a fantastic experience! Yae is so wonderful and helpful! Her food is so comforting and fulfilling which is no surprise since she's a pro chef.
Read moreWe had the hummus plate, shakshuka, hot cocoa, lemonade spritzer with a side of focaccia. We also ordered the chocolate chip walnut cookie and the parfait. Literally all of it was what I never knew I needed.
We got a grilled cheese to go and I have no doubt it will be amazing but we are just too stuffed to review it now!
10/10 will be going back with friends many more times!

I can’t speak highly enough about this place! The ingredients are all fresh. The plates have unique spins on traditional entrees. I took my mom here, who is a meat eater, and she said it was her favorite place she’d eaten at in her time in South Korea. We love this place. 💕

I had the grilled cheese sandwich and focaccia, which were both very tasty! Both the bread and the vegan cheese are made in-house, and I was impressed with them both. Wonderful to have something totally vegan nearby Jamsil.

The owner is super friendly! I have had the chilled cheese, lavender chai, hummus, potato salad, and some desserts. Everything has been wonderful. There aren’t many options in songpa for vegan food so I am very thankful for this place.

Rooted - wonderful place for a vegetarian! - Edit
Wonderful little restaurant near the Seokchon lake/ Olympic park area. Lovely ambiance. Great option for a vegetarian. Focaccia sandwich is a must. The eggplant dish is okayish. Didn’t like the eggplants at all. But the ingredients & accompanied items are delicious.

AMAZING - Edit
This place is amazing. The owner is lovely and speaks English. I had the vegan grilled cheese with a side of foccacia and the pesto potatoes. The foccacia is to die for! I'm going back just for that. The main meals are reasonably priced so it's not expensive to try the sides too. I also had the lavender chai latte which was so tasty. I loved it!! Can't wait to go back and try the other main meals and order the foccacia again.

Hidden vegan gem - Edit
These were one of the best vegan dishes I've had in Seoul. We ordered a lot and everything was amazing. The various combinations were so flavourful and it was prepared with a lot of care. The restaurant has some seats indoor and some outdoor-ish, which was SO nice considering the great weather. The owner speaks English fluently. Discover this gem of a vegan restaurant, you'll love it!

I wish I could give 6 stars. The focaccia was incredible! And the rosemary lemonade - I never knew that combination was so delicious. Don't miss out on the pesto potato salad, the fresh basil really pops! I wish I had room for the awesome sounding nice cream.

House-made with Love - Edit
Rooted is a small but warm, bistro-like place where you can get whole meals as well as desserts. Food is a mix of fusion dishes, inspired by Western or Middle Eastern cuisines, featuring e.g. couscous, pita bread, barley lentil rice, sandwiches and salads. For dessert, there are house-made cookies, cake and even icecream (like nicecream based on bananas).
Read moreI like that many components are made on location, feature fresh ingredients and are generally combined with care! The taste is ok, in my opinion, like homemade and handmade food.
The location itself is rather small, there are only 4 to 5 tables. But the atmosphere is friendly and chilled.
Pros: taste ok, many homemade components, fun combinations of flavors and textures, friendly atmosphere, friendly prices

The place is small but very cozy and the staff very friendly! There aren't a lot of options in the menu, but it's completely vegan. We tried the focaccia sandwich, which was delicious. I had never eaten focaccia like this! Although I was looking forward to trying the cheese sandwich… it also looked delicious! We also ordered the aubergine dish, but we didn't like it that much…

yum! - Edit
as i was looking at the menu, i knew that i wanted to ask if i could have the grilled cheese sandwich with the freshly made focaccia. thankfully it was a go, and i’m so glad! it was very tasty and i recommend it.
Read morethe salad on the side was perfectly dressed, and the pickles were another star on the plate.
i’m not a fan of ice cream usually, but i really liked the nice cream. the cookie was warm and a bit doughy, and seriously exceeded my expectations. would love to try the banana bread along with other menus next time
the owner is very kind and attentive. she said the menu will change seasonally backed on local produce, which is always very exciting. i look forward to trying there again!

Sandwich & Drinks - Edit
We ordered a variety so we could really try out the menu. Loved the grilled cheese (it's a cheese spread, not slices), focaccia sandwich, potato salad, and drinks. Not a fan of the eggplant dish, but that was a stretch for me anyway because I'm not super into eggplant. We all really enjoyed it and would definitely go back.

Loved the food! - Edit
Very cheese like grilled ‚cheese‘ sandwich. Missed that since going vegan! And still felt kind of healthy. Potato salad had a nice and unique seasoning too. All in all super tasty food and a a friendly owner. She is running the place on her own but the food still arrived fast with a lot of other customers being there.
