Room for improvement

We used to buy their bread occasionally at Saludpan. However several times when we have asked questions about the ingredients, the response from the clerks has been guessing about it or else a shrug (who knows, or cares?). A clerk would look at a loaf labeled oat bread, for example, and say that it contained oats. Beyond that, no interest or effort to find out the rest of the ingredients. The ingredients are important to know for people with special dietary needs. For consumers who are used to reading ingredients right on the label, this is a big disappointment especially when the staff is unwilling or too lazy to be helpful.

Pros: Good products, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Lack of consumer information, Staff has little knowledge of products, Indifferent service

Latin Americans are often like that. They have no idea what they are eating. It's an ignorance all too common in Medellin. Always ask and persist until you get the answer. In Cali I asked and asked and she lied and lied and I later discovered she had drugged me! Be careful. The soy protein that looks like ham contains a drug called betatina.
