Originally came to get the 'bacon and egg' bagel but apparently they sell out usually by lunch time (I will keep this in mind next time) but ordered plan B - the reuben sandwich, it was to die for. Thank you fate. Definitely will be back when I am visiting Sydney next. Was nice to see a all vegan sandwich bar pumping on a work day too. And loved the little explanations on the menu about shifting the way the world eats. Please open a store in brisbane!

Love the sandwiches here. Love the Reuben and the Join the club. Made with mock meats, it’s so yummy it can fool any non-vegan! Brownies and donuts are irresistible. Only downfall is it’s so popular it can be hard to eat in during peak times.

I visit Shift on my way to work, such a great place, I get my little fix of yumminess from them. Their sweets are soo pretty, almost to pretty to eat. Sandwiches are good as well.

Nothing to fault here. Great diversity of choice and all absolutely delicious. Need to come back again and try the desserts located at the register! Even has a selection of products (vegan deli?) on sale!!!

Enjoyed Sunday breakfast with my kids who had the waffles and salted caramel smoothies and I had the smoky baked beans with avo smash. Bought a few vegan snacks for the road. The only criticism is the cafe is too small!

Definitely a must visit for any vegan in Sydney. It is especially good for bringing people who are unsure of vegan food because you get a lot of “meaty” items without the meat. Honestly everything on their menu is good and the staff are very friendly. Their coffee alone (which is made with macadamia milk) is enough to keep me coming back.

100% vegan, everything is delicious. Diverse menu with lots to choose from. You'll have a hard time choosing because everything is fantastic. Shift do the best vegan toasties in Sydney. Great selection of frozen and chilled small goods.

Enjoyed the baked beans. They came with avocado and sprouts and cashew cream on toast. Friends had the waffle with peanut butter and said that it was excellent. Very efficient and nice staff, blown away by their little vegan shop!

This is THE place for all your brunch favs, veganised. There is lots to choose from and lots of fun and creative ways of keeping plant based living current and appealing to everyone (i.e plant based bacon and egg rolls, Reuben sandwich and cheese toasties etc.). There insta feed is also a must to follow!

I went to this place on my first day in Sydney. Ordered the Reuben’s sandwich and a cappuccino. Coffee was delicious and so was the sandwich, the portion was big so I took one half home. Definitely recommend and definitely coming back to try more food from the menu.

Amazing lunch and breakfast options. The brekky bun in particular is enormously filling and contains an incredibly close ‘egg’ complete with runny centre. The cookies are also great. There is also a small-but-pricey vegan shop there for cooking at home.

Went there for lunch and luckily got a seat as it was quite full (which is obviously a good thing :)) we got the the waffle and one of the sandwiches from the menu. First of all I was amazed by the texture of the glutenfree waffle...usually either too dense or not quite waffly enough...but they nailed it! Generous serving of ice cream too :) It could've done with a bit more fruit and less maple syrup but that is obiously just my taste so overall awesome lunch experience.

And the staff are so, so friendly! If you're ever hungry in Sydney, you HAVE to come here, it's awesome! I personally reccomend the Big Bad Bowl...

BEST CAFE IN SYDNEY - Edit
Hands down, Shift is my favourite cafe in all of Sydney. Everything on the menu is incredible — especially the toasted sandwiches (get the No Way Jose or the Reuben) — and the coffee is really, really good. The deli selection is also really great, especially if you're entertaining. We often pick up a couple of nice cheeses before friends come over. I seriously love this place, everyone who works there is super nice and the owner clearly cares deeply. Just go there :)
