Good. - Edit
Came with some non vegan friends. We liked everything but it was kinda run of the mill tbh. Cool space, cute vegan stickers, cool neighborhood. I’d go back. Had a pizza and some creamy soup that was a little heavy last time but there’s definitely some other stuff I want to try! As always, I appreciate the clearly labeled options.
Read moreUpdate! Ordered delivery to give it another shot and it really was delicious. I try to eat light and this food is not light, but it really tastes great. If you’re craving comfort food, this is a good place.

Lots of options - Edit
There’s so many options here for vegans, pescatarians, vegetarians and non vegetarians too! I really like how their menu is mapped out. I would say that I wasn’t a big fan of the food since it didn’t suit my taste buds much and it was a bit bland for me but I wouldn’t mine coming back to try a new dish someday.

Questionable quality - Edit
It's nice that they have a menu with many vegan options as well as vegan cake and coffee beverages.
Read morePrices are somewhat high, although the quality of the food does not compensate for it. Vegan cheese for pizza costs an extra 3000 KRW.
Overall, I liked that the hot chocolate was made with real chocolate instead of powder. But the cake was too dry and actually seemed old...
The interior seems cosy and nostalgic: There are a lot of plants and old fashioned furniture.
Pros: Many options
Cons: Food quality, Expensive

Menu now mainly vegan!! 🥳 - Edit
Slunch has evolved over the years with vegan menu items taking over the menu. Honestly, I was slow to come here because of friends who ate here in the past. I thought the options were limited but the currently Slunch primarily has a vegan menu with a few non-vegan options. I went all in on the vegan eggs benedict. They use silken tofu instead of egg. I prefer this to some chemical filled egg substitute. Good meal. Will be back!

Read moreI was v surprised that the mushroom rice noodles were served cold, but it worked well with the hot weather.
The menu was like a comic book lol so much writing and pictures.
The pizza i got with vegan cheeze was more expensive than the lacto pizzas are now. It was soooo delicious tho. Their tomato sauce is amazing! And i was surprised that there was guac on the pizza haha
V tasty
Oh and they played Vampire Weekend THE WHOLE TIME i was there 🙃

Love this place - Edit
We love coming here because there's something for everyone. The menu is quite diverse and the food is tasty and filling. I would give it 5 stars. After coming here for a few years, I have seen the menu change slightly... adding and tweaking some items regularly while keeping popular things like the vegan pumpkin chocolate cake. I am always satisfied with the vegan options. The atmosphere is great too! When the weather is nice, you can sit outside.

Good - Edit
Cosy atmosphere and a large menu for all diet types. The food is good but there are not many vegan options most plates are vegetarian or pollo/pesco vegetarian. I think it is pricey for what it is and there us nothing really crazy on the menu that would make you think it's worth the price, appart maybe from the wine ! Still a nice place that I would recommend for vegetarians but not to vegans with a bit apetite.

First place to go to when arriving.
Read moreCosts were quite high but was incredibly tasty!
My friend had the broccoli soup and mushroom risotto, soup was creamy and delicious. And the risotto was tasty with good portion size.
I had Moroccan Salad with pita bread, although an extra piece of pita bread would've been grand, the dish was filling enough. Hummus was homemade and tasty, grainy texture but not your classical hummus taste. Salad was fresh.
Atmosphere was good and staff friendly. Would return.

First off, the restaurant has a great understanding of all the different vegetarian and vegan kinds which is really great. The atmosphere is really nice because it is a little home style restaurant and cafe. The food is really nice and they have a good range, it is a little expensive tho.

Tasty for vegans and non-vegans alike - Edit
Judging from the negative reviews below, something has definitely changed at Slunch! I had the vegan risotto and thought the flavours were great - definitely didn't taste store bought to me and I was very happy with the number of veggies in it. My dinner companion had a pizza and was also really impressed. Loved the thoughtful, hand-drawn menu design too.

not bad! - Edit
after reading some of the reviews here, I was a bit skeptical, but my non-vegan friend wanted to try it, and since it had vegan options, best of both worlds. We both ended up ordering the vegan dishes, funny enough, but safe to say we both really enjoyed our meals. I got a tofu scramble with some rice, and it was topped with some spices that gave it a lovely kicked. My friend ordered their vegan pasta, and even for someone who likes her meat, she said it was delicious. I guess since those not so positive reviews, the restaurant has stepped up its game

Heated canned garbage at real-food prices - Edit
15 000 won for something very generously labelled "tomato basil risotto". The rice was overcooked. The "assortment vegetables" the menu promised, consisted of two small slices of eggplant. The sauce was quite obviously not made in house, containing the familiar salt, sugar preservative hit in all the processed, garbage tomato sauces mass-produced for the supermarket. The result was a disgusting congealed mess only a starving man could enjoy. Insulting, unhealthy filth.
Read moreOver-priced, incompetently made, lazy and stupid. I will never darken the door of this sham restaurant again. Its very existence is a mockery of every cook that ever lived. Slunch Factory.... you are beneath contempt.

Refreshening - Edit
This place is a nice surprise after all the generic (but otherwise cute) vegan places. Has a feel of a vintage yet hip restaurant & pub. The crowd is more diverse as well, since they offer meat dishes and alcoholic beverages (yay for wine!). I admire the idea as I believe food shouldn't separate us. Finding a place that satisfies both myself and my meat lover people is often problematic, if not impossible. I loved the charming and smart design of the menu, that helps with your selection according to your dietary preferences. The food was pretty good and definitely fresh and finally I was able to eat western(ish) style pasta that was gluten free. I give this place 5 stars for their diverse options and pleasant ambience.
