good food - nice location - Edit
A friend searched that place for me and I was happy as it is a fully vegan place.
Read moreThey have a few nice dishes (i forgot the names though). The food seems to be high quality and freshly prepared.
They don’t have every dish every day.
Also the drinks (fresh juices etc) are good and delicious. Prices are on the upper end for KP but really ok for the food.

Plant Based for Health. - Edit
Find them just before the entry to Zen beach heading north on the right side. Up the stairs a very casually inviting open air dining space. Enjoyed the tofu satay, coffee and the Queen of Thailand salad. Was okay, but nothing special.
Read moreOn my fourth visit however, I had an upsetting conversation with the owner who told me she was not vegan when I asked about cooking classes and how she became vegan. She said she was not vegan, but a Buddhist. I asked her why not vegan too, I'm happy being both myself. She said she just wanted to serve vegan food because it's healthy for her customers and that Buddha ate meat. I told her thaf was a long time ago, in a very different world.
I asked if Buddha did not see humans and animals as equals and she said he did and so did she and that she'd never killed an animal in her life. I don't know how one can be un-vegan without realizing an animal's killing is involved in putting death on your plate.
I asked if she saw humans and animals as equals and would she then eat a person too if it were offered. She grew indignant and she said she would not and that it was wrong to make this association. Associations of equivalence between humans and animals are wrong? She just stated the same damned thing, herself.
Really unfortunate to learn she considers animals equal, but would eat them, but won't eat a human!
I really hope to see some humans on the menu next time, from what I read it's healthier and tastier because vapid humans don't have all that cortisol pumping through their veins like billions of tortured baby animals trapped in industrial electro-mechanical death cages; just like Buddha ate!
You'd think someone who worked in food service would know that ordering a meal requires someone to execute the meal and animal. So, it's not just killing with words, it's also the cowardice of not doing the dirty deed for oneself. According to legend, Buddha simply did not refuse food when begging. Yet, he never ordered it, and never ordered killing on his behalf. For the animals being murdered for taste pleasure, it's an important distinction.

Excellent Food - Edit
The dishes we tried were excellent and generously sized, although the prices are steep. I have never tried a Vietnamese pancake so I tried that and it was really good although I'd have liked some salad or veggies on the side, but it was just a pancake.
Read moreIt was good to see such a unique menu.
My daughter had a tofu satay starter which was also delicious.
The lasagne my friend had was amazing and the khao soi looked fabulous too. We all really enjoyed the food.
The place is really cute, cosy and homely, spread over two floors. My only fault would be the mozzies as we all got bitten like crazy even though we were all sprayed up!
Also, my food took quite a bit longer than my two friends' dishes but that is something you get used to in Thailand anyhow.

I’m more of a junk food vegan. I saw the great reviews and decided to give this a shot, even though I wouldn’t typically think of a massaman curry with mixed salad wrap as my kind of thing.
