Yesterday I had my My 1st time experience getting a protein shake at Mad Beets. I sat down to play a complementary video game an after about 5 minutes I was asked to leave by a 6'3, 240 giant. He told me to leave because I was playing a video game and also drinking a shake. I didn't understand what I did wrong and told him I didn't appreciate being treated with such aggression. I asked him his name, he said he wouldn't give it to me. I then asked to speak with the manager. He then stated that I couldn't speak with the manager. I told him I wouldn't leave until I spoke with the manager. He then, within a fraction of a second, spun me around, put me in a military head lock until I lost consciousness. When I woke up, I was laying out on the sidewalk right in front of the entrance. I called the police to press charges but unfortunately they were corrupt. They were apparently good friends. After the event took place. I googled the business, so I could contact the owner and inform him of what had transpired. I found out the Monster, who violated me in such a horrific manner, was the owner of Mad Beets! His name is Brian Dunlap. He is a ex-military, psychopath and is above the law, in Pacific Beach. BEWARE!

Do not support this business! The owner refuses to make the menu more vegan friendly and treats vegan workers poorly (know from the experiences of my closest friends who quit after the first few days of working).
