worth the price

It is so expensive but the whole place has an amazing calming feel to it that makes it very pleasing. I'm in love! Only con is it can take a while before the food comes but it was worth the wait.

Best Local Vegan Cuisine in Hanoi

I loved this place. Many would say that this restaurant is too expensive but I think it is well worth the experience. I would also like to compliment on the waitress whom have took much effort to serve me, explaining to me the dishes available. The restaurant is huge and I went up to the 2nd floor on that day. There is a wide selection of traditional Vietnamese cuisine, with a few Asian fusion dishes. I personally like the Pineapple Fried Rice a lot and I strongly recommend you to visit this restaurant. I will revisit this restaurant again if I am in Hanoi.

Pros: Traditional Vietnamese Cusine, Relaxed Ambience, Friendly Staff

Fantastic Food in a very nice locstion

All vegetarian restaurant, with lot if vegan options. A huge selection of traditional vietamese food and pthers as well. Try the tofu with lemongrass and chili, just great! We had as well the very tasty silken tofu with a pineapple-sauce and the brown rice in a lotusleaf, all very delicious! For Vietnam the prices are high, but it‘s worth!

Pros: Delicious food, Nice staff, Nice restaurant

Cons: Expensive for Vietnam

delicious

We went there for our last dinner in vietnam and weren't disappointed, one of the best place we visited in 2 weeks!
We had their signature fresh spring rolls which were delicious AND served with a divine peanut sauce. We also tried the mushrooms stuffed tofu which was amazing!! We also had kind of a hotpot with banana and fermented rice, which was nice, but huuuge! (Easily feeds 2 to 3 people on its own). The drinks were also really good and the place is lovely. Some items are "pricy" ( 250k for the banana hotpot) but some prices are also quite fair for hanoi (I believe tofu was around 80K). Anyway, try it.

Pros: food (mushroom stuffed tofu!), drinks

Awesome!

My boyfriend and I ate here this evening and it was absolutely incredible.

We booked a table and were seated on the third floor. (The restaurant is huge!)

We took ages to choose because the menu is so extensive. We went for:

The mango and avo rice paper rolls, pumpkin and corn soup and vegan sushi for a starter.
Thai green curry and a mixed platter for main.

Presentation was beautiful and the food was served hot and promptly. We simply cannot fault it. It’s the best meal we’ve had since arriving in Vietnam.

The whole meal (including 6 drinks) was 1,210,000 dong. (Approx £38.00) which was more than acceptable. Some reviews have said the restaurant pricey, which I have to disagree. Complete justified for the level of service, ambience of the restaurant and food quality - both in taste and presentation.

A fantastic meal! We will be back!

divine!!!!

Wow this place is amazing. And yes it’s more pricey than others but still super cheap compared to home. The price is worth the food quality, staff and ambiance. It’s a gorgeous, spa like space. The food was fabulous and the staff were able to easily identify the vegan options. (I would be great to have those labelled of course). The menu is all in Vietnamese but I found an English one on their website http://uudamchay.com/menu.pdf

The fresh rolls with peanut sauce were perfect - spicy and flavourful. Loved the fried enoki mushroom dish as well. The mixed juice drinks were creative and delicious.

We’ve already booked to go back.

Fancy place

Great food with a variety of non-traditional, Vietnamese and Asian options. Small portions but think of it like tapas to share at $3-5 USD each. My only complaint is the chanting music is a bit loud and repetitive. Went twice and it was the same both times.

Great Place, Good Food

Wonderful place! Took my girl here for our anniversary. Beautiful location, very stylish. Expensive for Ha Noi standards but still very affordable. The food was good but not excellent. I would still definitely recommend it! The spring rolls are especially good!

Stylish with average food

Probably the largest veggie place I've been to, anywhere. Very stylish but none of the foods we tried were that special. Staff spoke good English.

Pros: Nice atmosphere

Cons: Expensive, food not as special as the interior

Mediocre food, mediocre service

The dishes were creative, but we just didn't enjoy the flavors that much. The soup was served lukewarm and one of the other dishes we ordered was too. We like our food hot. There was a ton of staff, but they were not too organized or attentive.

oasis In Hanoi

Sure this place is quite expensive for vietnamease standards, but I think it’s really worth it. Next to great food it’s just a perfect place to escape the rush of Hanoi.

Luxury vegetarian restaurant

This place is for people who either has something to celebrate or has a fat wallet😉 food is delicious, although the portions in reality looks much smaller then on the menu. And even they claim themselves vegan, they still use cow milk for coffees and milkshakes, which sad, cause there so many subs around. And the durian pizza was delightful, but the taste of dairy butter was pretty strong, even i was assured that its 100% vegan. So mixed feelings

Pros: nice design , tasty food, peaceful atmosphere

Cons: pricey, not 100% vegan

Great food, but make sure it's vegan!

Our experience was good but started of poorly with a waitress who didn't understand the difference between vegetarian and vegan. Once we got a lady who spoke English the night went a lot better. They have a huge menu and if they marked vegan items, it would've be a lot easier to order for vegans.
We didn't find prices high given it's a fine dining fancy restaurant.

Pros: Very quick service, we didn't have to book (Thursd

Cons: Very little English speaking waitresses , Vegan meals not marked on the menu

The best in Hanoi

This was the best restaurant we found 10 days in Hanoi. Our first visit on a Sunday lunchtime started with a 10 minute wait for a table as even though this is a large venue it was full of locals enjoying a superb menu with a wide variety of dishes that are excellently presented in tasteful surroundings.
We enjoyed our meal so much that we returned on the Monday lunchtime and again found the restaurant full (but we were seated after a short wait) so booking is highly recommended.
Of the many dishes we tried I'd pick out the Green Rice with basil and peas, the square spring rolls and the tofu triangles with tomato sauce. Also, don't miss out on the fruit cocktails which are totally delicious and are so wonderfully presented.
For a first class meal expect to pay 500,000 to 700,000 dong for two very full people.

Pros: Everything

Cons: You really need to book

Overhyped

Venue: stunning.
Menu: intriguing.
Food pesentation: immaculate
Food taste: good, but definitely not worth the price. Macadamia fried rice was nice but nothing special. In my opinion corn and peas are cheap fillers and could be replaced with better vegetables. Square spring rolls were great but small portion.
Price: average dish price around 100,000 dong and need at least two, maybe three dishes to feel satisfied. Drinks were expensive so didn't order one,
Service: fine, although at one point a waitress came and took the plant decoration off my table without a word, as though she was packing down for the night.
Overall: this food would be great in a cafe but does not live up to the hype or standard set by the venue or price of the food.

Pros: Nice tasting food, Amazing venue, Interesting food options

Cons: Way too expensive, Small portions

Classy but Cliquey

Seemed hard to actually get anyone to serve me in this fine establishment. Although half the tables were empty they seemed a little annoyed I hadn't booked a table at lunchtime for one person.

They took forever to take my order and I had to speak to about 5 different people to get what I wanted... A simple pad Thai and a side order of chilli tofu. I made two attempts to order but both servers walked away without saying anything.

When I finally got my order in I was pleased with the result. The food was well presented and tasted great. It's a little more pricey than some other places around Hanoi but it's great if you want a bit of a special evening.

Pros: Beautifully presented , great location (near Women's Museum), nice range of tea

Cons: Slow service, unfriendly servers, not as cheap as some other places

Nice atmosphere, boring food

I've been here about 6 or 7 times now over the past year. The restaurant is beautiful. It's a very nice atmosphere to be in. Unfortunately, the food does not live up to the atmosphere. It's perfectly fine, but not special in any way. They're super stingy with the drinks too. They will only give you one tiny cup of drinking water, instead requiring you to spend a ridiculous amount on small bottles of water, wasting plastic and hurting the environment. The drink options are made up entirely of their mocktails, all of which contain one or two ingredients I don't like. They refuse to make a plain fruit juice or change up any ingredients in the drink options.

Pros: Great atmosphere, beautiful space

Cons: Mediocre food, Too expensive for what you get, Poor drink options

Fine dining

Not much to say about this restaurant. The food is fine dining level good. The presentation is fine dining level. The decor is fine dining. The price is high for Vietnam but very reasonable all things considered. We ate 5 dishes with drinks and the bill was 25USD.
If you want the best in town then this is it.

Pros: food, presentation, decor

Cons: slightly lacking in atmosphere

The best vegetarian Vietnamese food we had!

The place is a little bit fancy and nice decorated. Only a few tourist around. The staff is very helpful and they have menu in english.
We tried many different dishes and all of them were really tasty. We loved the curry, hot pot, the thai noodles and the rolls. The beverages were also delicious! Don't miss this place.

Pros: authentic vietnamese vegetarian food, beautiful place

Cons: a little bit expensive, staff doesn't speak english, so use goole tran

Absolutely Loved It!

I knew from the second I walked in that I would love this place. It's beautifully decorated and very clean. I read that they didn't have an English menu, but they actually did :) There are A LOT of options that it's a little overwhelming, but there is a photo of everything which helps. I had the jicama salad which was incredibly fresh, the quesadilla which was delicious and light (I don't think it was vegan though), and a non-alcoholic blueberry mojito which was gorgeous in an of itself and very tasty.

If I were staying in Hanoi longer, I would have eaten there every other day.

The prices are definitely more western, but in my opinion it's so worth it.

I would recommend making dinner reservations, as the place gets very busy.

Pros: Amazing food, Lots of variety , Beautiful space

Cons: Western prices

Veggie fine dining

The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous from the moment you walk in. English menu with tons of vegan options. The Pineapple Fried Rice was sooo good and the Thai Vermicelli Salad was nice and spicy which is something we were craving for. Tasty rolls too. Also tried one of their hot pot sets which were enough to comfortably fill 4 tummies. Staff are friendly and very attentive since there's always about 4 of them hanging by each table. Only downside is that they made us order Evian water which obviously costed a bomb and didn't have options for filtered water or regular mineral water. Tip: Skip the Evian water and go for one of the drinks instead since it costs pretty much the same.

Pros: Nice setting for special occasions, Delicious food

Cons: Expensive water

Beautiful restaurant

The restaurant is only two blocks down from Hoan Kiem lake, easy to walk from the old quarter. It is a really beautiful looking place. The staff were very friendly. I had stuffed tofu, which was quite nice, and thin summer rolls that I did not like that much. For me the food did not live up to the location, but it still offers much nicer and more creative food than a com chay, and the prices were not too high.

Beautiful.

The setting is beautifully designed and food is beautifully presented. Modern design but with Vietnamese twist in the wall decorations, crockery, all well thought through.
Book in advance as it is popular.
Although there is a large sign outside saying VEGAN this is only a vegetarian restaurant. However, most dishes were vegan and our server checked if we ate milk or eggs when we ordered. She also remembered later in the meal when we asked about desserts (very few vegan options, as usual, sadly - we got cocktails instead!).
The food was interesting and tasty, lots of fresh flavours, all plant and tofu based. Pecan soup, tofu stuffed with mushrooms, fresh spring rolls and a fried rice with crunchy macadamia nuts served in a pineapple were some of the highlights.
Very comfy seats, good service and arranging the seating in several different areas meant that, although the restaurant was fully booked, it wasn't horribly noisy.
Most expensive meal in Hanoi as it worked out around £15 each but would have been several times that in UK!

Pros: Server helped us make sure our food was vegan, mos, So well designed and presented.

Cons: Vegan sign outside and referring to itself as &#34, No exciting vegan desserts!
